Highway Gomantak, a Mumbai institution, is renowned for its authentic Goan cuisine, specializing in seafood. While the ambiance is basic, with closely stacked tables and minimal decor, the focus is squarely on the food. The knowledgeable waiters are well-versed in the menu and can provide recommendations based on your preferences. Trusting my friends' experience, we ordered a variety of dishes, including fried prawns, stuffed bangda fry, pomfret fry, mutton bheja fry, prawns pulav, and surmai thali. While the fried and stuffed fried dishes were average, the mutton bheja fry was a standout. The flavorful curry was a delight, although there were fewer pieces than expected. The surmai thali, while overpriced at Rs. 350, offered a unique and satisfying curry experience. However, the star of the lunch was undoubtedly the prawns pulav. The perfectly balanced spices and the succulent prawns made it a truly memorable dish. Overall, Highway Gomantak offers a satisfying dining experience for seafood lovers. While the ambiance may not be luxurious, the quality of the food justifies a visit.

अगदी विचित्र असा अनुभव.... घरात वाढदिवस.. त्या निमित्त येथे दिलेली भेट खूपच नाव ऐकलेल highway गोमंतक.. पण नाव तेवढच बाराखडीतल्या अक्षरान नुसार मोठं बाकी काहीच नाही * केवळ थाळी च मिळते ते ही अगदी कमी अश्या पदार्थात * केवळ मेनू वरती all डीशेस होत्या प्रत्यक्षात बाकी संपलेल होत ते ही 10:00 वाजता *nonveg मध्ये थालीत केवळ फिश.. फिश.. फिश..बाकी चिकन ची एकच डिश ती ही घरच्या सारखं चिकन मसाला अजून त्यात काही प्रकारच नाही * veg वाल्यानी तर शप्पथ मुळीच येथे जाऊ नये नाहीतर साधा पुलाव तो ही चव नसलेला आणी veg थाळी त्यात फक्त वाटणे उसळ आणी बटाटा वांग भाजी बस हाच मेनू * आणी हा जे nonveg लव्हर्स आहेत ज्यांना खरंच nonveg ची चव कळते त्यांनी तर मुळीच जाऊ नका नाही तर फुकट पैसा आणी वेळ दोनीही वाया जाईल अगदी वाढदिवसाचा शेवट असा.... 🤯

If you are craving disappointment served with a side of arrogance, this is the place to be. Once known for decent food, highway gomantak serves overpriced, bland slop. The menu? A masterclass in confusion fish dishes everywhere, hoping you mess up, while the waiters conveniently forget to explain anything. and a guy at the counter who thinks customer service means glaring at you like you owe him an apology for existing. It was not just us most of people at counter of restaurant looked like they were rethinking their life choices after seeing the bill. unless you enjoy bland tasteless food and some arrogance dont even bother stepping inside.

The quantity of thali is very poor as compared to the price Rs. 450. The thali doesn't have a fried fish at all we had to order it separately for Rs.600. The thali has only fish curry which is not even sufficient to finish two chapati and bowl of rice. when asked for extra they charged Rs. 190 for a small bowl of fish. I personally felt that people who recommend this place actually lack taste for food or they don't have value for money for such pathetic quantity of food. They are minting money may be because of their name from the past.

It’s totally waste of money, we ordered chicken Wada thali , it was very surprising that they dnt serve rice n extra curry in thali & only three Wada , we asked them to take two wadas from the thali n serve rice instead of that, we also ordered a veg thali in that we found a small stone , horrible experience, n who ever write or gives 5star to this restaurant they really need a doctor to check there metal health. Spending so much of money but our stomach was still craving for food. Never ever going to recommend it to any one.

very less qty food and pricing is very high. not at all recommendable. hopeless quality 350 rupees thali give 2 chapatis and gravy and rice plz don't walk in or order at this place.

No ambiance, absolutely bland food, Fish and chicken tasted like rubber. All this at very high cost. The curries were disgusting. It's a cheap outlet living in its former glory.

rubbish quality and very tiny portion....prawn thali had 3 prawns.....when we asked they said it was big so 3....small then 5 come!!!!!!!
