I have visited this restaurant now for 4 times with my someone special. Their fish preparations are too crispy and very fresh.Prawns , Bombil fry , surmai fry are the best. I have loved their mutton Sagoti along with rice or bhakar.It offers excellent taste and correctly priced dishes.Everytime I visit there I come back with best memories and a big smile on someone special's face 🥰.

solakdhee la natural gulab colour hawa... jewaychya aadhi fakt haat dhunyasathi vegle wash basin have... toilet chya baher che wash basin nahi... fish curry nikhari kadhi sarkhi lagte...proper malwani style zali pahije... bombil fry deep fry ka karta....shallow fry changle lagtat... ola jawla too good... amboli ani ghavne menu madhe asayla havet.

Amazing food quality! The staff is cordial, portion size is good. Since we were late that day (we went around 3pm) the bombil and surmai was over but tisreya sukka, mushkil fry, prawns Fry were really nice! Mutton sukka was the bomb and mutton keema was also good.

i had lunch at malvan yesterday.had surmai and halva thali along with mutton sukka thali. had bombil fry for starters. nothing to complain.all the items were fresh and very tasty. the service was very nice and cordial. would love to visit again

best value for money malwani restaurant in Thane. portion sizes are big and service is quick. loved the surmai thali, mutton masala and sol kadhi.

This restaurant is usually crowded, so you should time your arrival strategically to avoid waiting. Ambiance is good enough, mind your head while you find your seat. Staff is good, you have to be a bit patient as they are always busy taking orders or serving. Coming to the food, it's fabulous! If you love sea food and chicken, this restaurant is a must visit, every thing is great, too good!

Hotel malvan is the best sea food hotel...near panchpakhadi thane ...must try here 1 sukkha tisrya masala ☆☆☆☆☆ 2 sukkha Mutton Thali ☆☆☆☆☆ 3 prawns fry ☆☆☆☆ 4 bombil fry (Bombay duck) ☆☆☆☆ 5 pamfret fry ☆☆☆

Malvan is a good joint in a prime Thane location We ordered the Chicken and Mutton Thali with Kolambi Bhaat with Prawn and Bombil Fry Taste quite good but was a bit high on the Chilli or spice

Place has a basic decor and seating. Having heard a lot about this place , decided to visit it. Unfortunately it didn't hold up toy expectations. We had ordered prawns friend and it was good. We had ordered mutton sukha with chapati and the taste was good but half of the mutton pieces were chewy. (inspite of confirming multiple times to if mutton is well cooked while placing the order) The service was sub par. Waiter served us the food with the attitude that he was doing us a favour by serving the dishes. When asked for purified water.. there was no room temperature water available only chilled water (unless you want to buy mineral water).

Please do read this before you visit. I visited this restaurant yesterday, on the 6th of May '23. We ordered Bombil Fry and Rawas Fry which was good but when the thalis arrived, there was a small cockroach floating in the gravy. Since we've been coming to this restaurant for many years ever since I was a kid, we didn't raise a hue and cry but once we saw how the situation was handled we regret being hush about it. The server offered to swap out the curry, multiple servers came with their salvers trying to serve a new bowl, but since we simply did not want to eat we refused the replacement. We paid the bill for the fish fry and left. Finding anything foreign in your meal is not a small incident that can be handled lightly especially when the reputation of your business is on the line. We did not get a apology when we raised the concern, instead of offering to replace the entire thali only that one bowl of gravy was being replaced. Only after our constant refusal they resorted to having the thali changed. They insisted that the cockroach fell in later, the curry is fine but honestly, it did not look like it, the cockroach disgustingly seemed cooked. I have trained in restaurants, with a hotel management degree. I have seen the hygiene conditions being pathetic in top-rated restaurants in the city but major mishaps like this can be avoided with the staff's alertness. It's amazing how nobody noticed the cockroach while serving. Even after all this, we were made to pay for the fish fry we had before. I understand people can be unscrupulous to avail free food but in serious situations like this atleast have the decency to offer a complimentary meal. This was the first rule that was taught to us is complaint handling. For such a reputable restaurant in Thane. It was extremely shameful and disappointing. Unfortunately I regret not click photos, due to how quickly it all happened. Only one server had the decency to apologise to us as we were leaving.
