Fantastic food. Prawn tempura sushi was straight 10/5!!! Prawn cheung fa 5/5. The icing on the cake was sticky date pudding extremely moist and scrumptious with the vanilla ice cream and candied ginger. We polished it off in the blink of an eye 😅. It’s a straight 100/10! On our list of favourite places to visit again n again.

food is amazing. staff is super cooperative. good place to be withbkids also. Tanushka helped us with seats and the other staff is also super polite and kind.

Visited House of Mandarin, Bandra for lunch and had a pleasant experience overall, mainly because of the lovely seating arrangement and the extremely courteous staff. The ambiance truly sets the right tone. However, the food didn’t match the expectations we had from the place. What we tried: Crispy Lamb Mandarin Style: The flavours were nice and it did have a good crisp, but it turned out quite oily and a bit salty. Additionally, the lamb itself was hard to distinguish while chewing. Crispy Prawn Cheung Fun: This was the highlight of our meal. The prawns were extremely fresh, and the dish had a perfectly balanced taste. Definitely recommended. Mandarin Fried Rice in Lotus Leaf (Chicken): Expected this to be a standout, but it was fairly average and didn’t have the depth of flavour we anticipated. Chicken Manchurian Gravy: Unfortunately, this was too salty, making it difficult to pair with the fried rice. Overall, it’s still a decent spot for lunch thanks to the ambience and service, but the dishes could use some refinement to match the vibe and expectations.

We visited HOM on March 23, 2026, and unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. We ordered pan-fried noodles and followed our waiter's recommendation for a side of garlic chicken. However, we were served chili garlic noodles instead, and the side dish never arrived. When we followed up 15 minutes later, we discovered the second waiter had no record of our chicken order; it hadn't even been sent to the kitchen. We waited an additional 20 minutes for the chicken to be prepared, forcing us to pair it with the noodles which were, frankly, mediocre. To top it off, there was no apology for the delay, and the staff handed us the bill while we were still finishing our meal. The lack of hospitality was very off-putting.

We went here after a booking. The person in charge of managing didn’t bother to think that we would need a table. They were all busy in their own world absolutely not bothered about us who were genuinely waiting to get a table for ourselves. We tried speaking to the person twice but we got a cold response such that we didn’t feel like dining here. Bad service. No value for waiting customers.

Shit show of a restaurant! Terrible service and rubbish food. The waiters are rude and lack manners. Bugs were falling in our plate. Don’t eat here if you care for the experience.
