Irani Canteen by Thanawala - A Nostalgic Breakfast Haven in Kandivali! 🌟 Located at CHS Ltd, Gokul Horizon - B, Jivala Pada, opposite Gundecha Trillium, in Kandivali East, Irani Canteen by Thanawala is a charming little gem that serves up delicious breakfast options in an old-school, cozy setting. The ambiance takes you back to the 90s with its retro theme, cozy walls, and a welcoming vibe that makes it perfect for a laid-back breakfast outing. Menu & Food: The menu here offers a great selection, and it's especially famous for its Kheema Pav and Omelette, both of which are must-tries. But that’s not all! They have a wide variety of options including Chai, Hot Milk, Bakery items, Eggs, Sandwiches, Irani Pao Rolls, Maggi, Kheema, Milkshakes, Cold Drinks, and even Pallonji’s desserts. We started with the Irani Chai and the classic Bun Maska, a combo that always hits the spot. For snacks, we enjoyed the Jalapeño Cheese Poppers, which were crispy and perfectly spicy, and the Poro Parsi Omelette, which was deliciously fluffy and flavorful. The Chicken Cutlets were crunchy on the outside and tender inside, while the Chicken Kheema Fry with Pao was a hearty and flavorful dish. We also tried the Chicken Berry Pulao, which had just the right balance of spices and flavors. To finish, we indulged in their iconic Irani Caramel Custard, which was smooth, creamy, and a total treat! Service: The service here was excellent – polite and attentive staff who were happy to guide us through the menu and ensure we had everything we needed. Despite the place being packed, especially on weekends, the staff kept things running smoothly. Vibe & Experience: The vibe at Irani Canteen is perfect for a chill morning with friends or loved ones. The music, straight out of the 90s, adds a nostalgic touch and complements the ambiance perfectly. The canteen is bustling, and while it does get busy, the energy here is always high, making it a great spot to catch up with friends or just enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Final Thoughts: Kandivali has found a new breakfast hotspot in Irani Canteen by Thanawala, and it’s definitely a place you should visit if you’re in the area. The food is fantastic, the ambiance is cozy and nostalgic, and the service is top-notch. They even have an outlet in Thane, so if you're further afield, you can still get a taste of their delicious offerings! Must-Try: Irani Chai & Bun Maska Kheema Pav Chicken Kheema Fry with Pao Irani Caramel Custard A perfect place to kickstart your day or catch up with friends over a great meal!

Stepping in felt like walking straight into a 1960s movie set — full of old-world charm and nostalgia. The food? Absolutely authentic! Every item reflected the true essence of a traditional Irani café, just like it used to be. Pushpraj, our server, truly elevated the experience — attentive, warm, and always checking in to ensure we were comfortable.

Had a great experience at Irani Canteen , great noltagic vibe. So many options in Bun maskas. Classic kheema pav and berry pulav. Finished with iconic Pallonji Soda. Definitely visit if you are a fan of Irani cafe menus. Lots of options for vegetarians as well. Beautiful ambience and detials that preserve the charm of Old bombay and make time feel slower.

This Irani canteen was a great find! The **Bun Maska and Chai** are clearly a crowd favorite, and for good reason. The **Chicken Puff** was impressively flaky and generous with its stuffing, featuring a unique hint of ajwain in the pastry that added a pleasant, pungent twist. My top pick was the **Berry Mutton Pulav** perfectly balanced with tender, juicy mutton and well-cooked rice. Another absolute must-try is the **Mutton Kheema Pav**, which was spicy and flavorful. To wash it all down, the **Pallonji’s** were a nostalgic treat that tasted exactly like the old days. While the **Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake** was a bit of a letdown, the overall experience was a solid **8/10**. Highly recommended for a nostalgic 90’s meal!

Irani Canteen is a gem for food lovers! The cozy ambiance, warm lighting, and friendly staff make it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a chill hangout. Their Chicken Nuggets and Peri Peri Wedges are absolute must-have. Tried their Mutton Keema and the Egg Curry Rice, and both were bursting with flavor. Affordable prices and quick service seal the deal. Highly recommend for anyone craving classic Irani vibes!!

The food was goodish at most. However, the meethu guy, outside taking reservations was extremely rude, screaming at my elderly father that he called our name three times, we were 3 people and not a single one of us heard it, ordered sandwich with no cheese, gave me the sandwich with cheese, when I told them they said cheese ko side karke kha lo, not cancelling the order not changing it nothing, because allergies won't happen if I just move the cheese right? very bad staff and service. The people next to us were also complaining saying just eat so they can leave. The bill is the only thing that came quickly. Would not recommend going here. I suggest go somewhere with better food and service, many restaurants are next this one go there instead. Absolutely pathetic service and the guy outside mannerless and rude

Hype, hype, hype. This review is based solely on my understanding of food, not my mood. DISCLAIMER .. for people who seriously understand their food PLS DONT GO .. There is nothing “Irani” about this so-called Irani canteen. It’s just another ordinary restaurant serving ordinary food—and even that falls short. The Margi Berry Pulao was basically chicken rice with only three berries, barely any chicken, and that was also overcooked. The vegetable cutlet tasted odd. pls dont order .. The chicken salami sandwich had zero appeal—just salami and dry bread, no lettuce, no veggies, no mayo; honestly, even my house help could make a better one. The bheja masala was average but unnecessarily spicy, and the ₹400 plate had just one piece of bheja. The Irani chai wasn’t authentic either; it tasted more like Tapri chai. [ which is so much better than this irani version ] Overall: overpriced, poor service, and no air-conditioning.

Very poor service. The whole charm is lost due to extreme mismanagement. The mood for eating good food gets spoilt completely, as the wait time for every dish is too long!
