One of the most popular restaurants in Mumbai known for their biryani and mughlai food. Visited for lunch and of course had to order their mutton biryani. The biryani looked amazing and had a good aroma too. It tasted nice, had good flavour but was very mild with very less masala and more of white rice. I asked the server for extra masala and also Potato as there was none in the biryani. The server was kind enough to get both, after which the biryani tasted better. By the time we were finishing biryani, it felt very heavy as the biryani was very greasy and it left an unpleasant taste due to the excess of oil. Also had the hyderabadi tawa roll and that was very tasty, liked it. We ordered the full biryani, the portion was good of the rice but mutton pieces were only 2-3 medium sized. Service was professional and prompt. The ambiance is nice and the menu is quite vast with a lot of options. It's a bit overpriced though. Did not like the butter chicken It was bitter in taste and so full of fat and oil. This used to be my go to place for butter chicken but not anymore. Kindly upgrade your cooks

Food - the USP of Jaffer bhai we beloved & years since years was it's Biryani which was of such a low quality with not even the rice of a good basmati type, biryani hardly had the masala which is the most essential part of the cuisine. The chicken pieces were so high with fragments of bones scatters all in the plate. Service - 1 extra raita requested was served to us with only curd & jeera grains sprinkled, service is too slow, we even heard another customer scolding the manager for delayed water, meny being served since half an hour. Atmosphere - no wash basin, 1 is only inside a washroom which is mostly closed with someone using it. So much of chaos & noise as if it was a wedding hall. The worst part was a 1 litre of bottle (bisleri 20 Rs mrp) which was charged 55 Rs with gst, despite raising this to management they said we have to pay 55 Rs. I have attached the bottle bill for reference.

Do you look at the pictures? This is butter chicken within 1 hour. The whole greasy layer is oil, thats how much oil they have added. Apart from that, it gave me bad stomach, please do not order from this place, they had their charm in old days, but now its as close to 💩 dont fall sick at such times by eating from this place, I've fallen sick and now the zomato customer service wont even address my issue, really disappointed by the service and the food. 👎👎👎

Pathetic experience. The size of kebabs are as small as 5 rupee coin, total waste of money. The waiters keep staring at you. Entire restaurant was empty, still the service was slow. Waiters got wrong order. It seemed as they were deliberately doing things slowly. Never going to visit again. Jaffer bhai is just a name now, no quality at all.

I have ordered a chicken biriyani and it was not having chicken inside.. when I notified the supplier they brought a piece of chicken.. the dish was very cold.. after paying when i was trying to give the feedback.. he left the table when i was talking.. worst experience.. will never go back

I tried the biryani for it's name and fame, but I am sorry the mutton biryani was not even worth 100 rupees. low on taste and quality. Isse Acha to meri Gali ka biryaani hai. it's pure loot in the name of a brand. please do not visit or waste your hard earned money on Jaffer k biryaani

Chef doesn't know how to cook, korma was nothing like korma and mutton quality was pathetic, almost felt like beef.
