I had an amazing experience at Jamavar The atmosphere strikes you as you enter the hotel ! Very soft indian music forms the background to this elegantly done up place! we ordered a starter ; tandoor ke phool which is basically broccoli and cauliflower florets steamed and finished on a tandoor and served with cream! Delicious For the mains we ordered a chicken methi malai …. mmmm delicious again and for the vegetarian part there was paneer kadhai and a Nawabi kofta The aromas wafting from the Nawabi kofta got our taste buds tingling the bread basket was the only thing that i feel can be improved on as the breads were not hot and were placed first on the table! Rest was great and we plan a repeat

Very few places in Mumbai are Apt for a personal celebration space . ZAMAVAR is definitely one . The courteous staff , special thanks to Atul , his recommendation were as per our taste palette We had the samosa chat , absolutely yumm not to be missed , aloo firdaushi , mutton galouti ( the portion size was really good n the it was super succulent) , chicken sheekh another delicacy not to be missed Do not miss their Appam and Chettinad and dal makhni either . The music played is just right for generation enjoying their meals there Definitely visiting this space again for their culinary and food delight

Imagine having a restaurant in your home.... that's what Jamavar has become for me! Under the attentive management of the maestro Deepak, you're guaranteed a hero's welcome no matter what time of day or night! What I love most about Jamavar is that they remember your favourite dishes ... Which is rare, comforting and yummy at the same time! My favourite is the the dhal kichadi with tandoori vegetables!

Was invited by the hotel to experience the Jamavar restaurant. It wasn’t just a fantastic experience but I was also guided through the courses and specialities by the manager, Deepak, explaining where the dishes came from and why they were prepared in the fashion they were. Unfortunately far too much food and variety in one sitting. Fortunately means I will have to come again!

Generally 5 star food is bland but here we got the best of Indian cuisine. Great service and delicious food. Must visit. Must try - kofta and samosa chat

It is located at lobby level in Hotel Leela. We had heard a lot about the Indian food of Jamavar, so after having drinks at their 6* bar, we decided to have dinner over here. For vegetarians, he served us black dal, kashmir mushroom,and some paneer dish with mixed rotis and curd. The food was absolutely yummy. Even those who had non-veg liked a lot. In dessert, we choosed chocolate ice cream and rabri. The decor was classy and the service was very professional and polite. In spite of being a weekday, it was almost full.

Decided to dine in Jamavar for dinner while staying there for 1 night. Opted for set menu for single person which is priced at INR 4200+ taxes. The selection of dishes in the menu does not do any justice to the price as well as variety. Starters served were chicken kebab and mutton shami, Jhinga grilled and chat samosa. Kebab had very less concentration of meat and was 2/5 Compare with set menu at Dakshin in ITC Maratha and selection of dishes is much better. Main course was equally disappointing.

-Although the food wasn't bad, there was nothing great about it that will bring us back -The paneer tikka, brocolli & seekh kabab were not grilled enough -Options nearby like Dumpukht, Peshawari & Umrao offer much better food for the same or lower price
