Kadak Lab in ICONIQA hotel near Airport terminal 2 recently opened up and we paid them a visit for a quiet hush hush dinner on a Saturday night! The restaurant is well planned and has aesthetic corners and lovely seating options for a couple to a larger group of people! On our day of visit they were running a Bengali Cuisine Menu curated by Chef Ananya Banerjee and we opted for this menu! Note : They do have a full fledged regular menu as well! A small brief on what we tried here : From the Mocktail section we tried Smash 2.0 & Kadak Vibe - Both were well balanced and neatly prepared! From the food section: - Calcutta Chop & Cutlet Platter consisted of 1 portion of Egg Croquette / Fish Roll / Prawns Cutlet. Absolutely loved the Prawns cutlet which was coated in egg and fried to a perfect crisp! Do give this platter a try! - Lacy Prawns Dumpling, Malai Curry Veloute, Prawns Oil was another Signature dish served to us. The dumplings filled with minced prawns served on a bed of coconut gravy was bold in flavors and each bite was a delight! Must Try! - Ghoogni was a vegetarian appetizer which is a Bengali street food and was made of yellow peas topped with crisp waffle on the side! - Gobindobhog Chicken Pishpash was our main course and came with a portion of rice, potato, steam fish in a banana leaf and Prawns in a thick masala, the mango chutney on the side was a delight as well! - Maach Paturi was another Signature dish here, topped with a wholesome Betki fish with Dal & Rice- Must Try! Ended our meal with 2 traditional desserts : - Misti Doi Cannoli which was crispy shell filled with sweetened yoghurt. - Channar Payesh which was cottage cheese mixed with sweetened milk. Overall a great experience and the place is definitely tops nothing with food for the soul served!

Had a wonderful experience at kadak lab. We tried salmon tikka with raw mango chutney which was delicious. Loved the lamb shank korma with turkish naan & prawns bivalvia Chettinad parotta.Even the dessert deconstructed serradura with fruits was yummy. The food presentation, taste as well as service is excellent. Pretty ambience too.Cutney Crab mud khakra was bit disappointing. Will definitely visit again

I've been trying to look for a good fusion restaurant for a fairly long time, and this "4.5" came up on my radar. booked and travelled quite a bit through the dug up for concretization roads of Mumbai for this. it's part of the iconiqa hotel- so expected a decent ambience. anyway as per the afscp framework, Ambience: This is like a 3 star hotel ambience to be fair. Not outstanding, but not too bad either. there was decent space and seating. I'll put a 3. Food: the most important parameter and it is very very average bordering on poor. we tried, - raj kachori chat: Absolutely average with a ton of sprouts and very few pomegranate seeds and extremely hot chutney. Avoid. - Tart chicken changezi: very high spice levels in an oily smelly Tart. they were kind enough to not charge for it and took a piece back. - coorg chicken appam: too spicy once again covered in an appam. seemed like an inspiration from lasagna. average. avoid. - lobster chilli: good chilli small size lobster. pls order. - butter chicken naan: very average butter chicken albeit at least better than the rest of the dishes. naan was a bit too dry and burnt. - baked chhena payesh: avoid. they don't know chhena payesh. suggest to try first from sweet Bengal. - service: service is fast, has ears to customer. problem remains the server doesn't know about ingredients of the dishes. but 4 definitely - crowd: average crowd vibe. price: Price is fine for portions. overall not more than a 2. will not recommend for a great experience.
