Kamat is a age old restaurant situated in the heart of a shopping hub “Crawford market”, the food here is good at taste bit slightly pricey. I recommend having fast food and South Indian delicacies here and it won’t disappoint you. Do not go for Chinese they South Indian chef have no clue how to cook that cuisine. All in all good place for snacking in between shopping and has a courteous staff.

I recently visited this outlet of Kamat with a friend. The place is crowded with people throughout the day and they have two sections, AC & Non AC. The AC section on the mezzanine floor has a pleasant ambience. Our order included Masala Dosa, Maysore Masala Dosa & Veg Cutlets. The Dosas were good but the potatoes were bit undercooked. The Sambar & Chutney was tasty. The Veg Cutlets were nice. Check out the photos.

This place is good to have a quick lunch. Though located at a crowded place you might at times find it difficult to get yourself a place for lunch. Had ordered paneer tikka masala and rotis along backed with dal tadak. Quite expensive but I would go with taste over the price.

Been coming to this place since a child sadly the behaviour of the owners has changed my outlook towards this place. The owners do not have any manners. They do not have any decency to talk to their customers nor to they treat their staff well. They argue with their customers and give many excuses if they receive any negative feedback. I had ordered a paper masala dosa, and my aunt had ordered a Mysore masala dosa sadly to say it was a great disappointment the dosa was cold and when I complained about this to the owner instead of listening to my problem he started arguing and giving excuses and tried to pass the blame on me . The quality and taste of the place has deteriorated drastically I would recommend eating somewhere else

The management and staff here is the most cheapest I've seen in my life. When I asked for a washroom they blatantly refused they had one, little did they know we had a table upstairs. And then I found out there is a washroom here. Am absolutely disgusted with these people. I am at this restaurant without any choice at this moment otherwise would've walked out cause this behavior is not acceptable. On confronting him not only did he insult but also had no signs of regret and refused to say his name cause was guilty. Will never go again.

Very Bad EXPERIENCE. Taste and quality is worst. i ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Chef don't know how to cook Paneer Tikka Masala . They serve small chunks of Paneer in Paneer tikka masala, added artificial colours in that.  I though Kamat is good brand but after eating here i doubt ??? Roti u have to strongly bite  bcoz its also bad. Service very bad. I DID COMPLAINT TO THERE MANAGER WHO IS SITTING ON COUNTER ...... THAN HE SAID .........its ok. HE IS NOT BOTHERED ABOUT THERE FEEDBACK, is he giving FREE OF COST..................

small cockroaches were roaming on the table and the floor in AC section. i just vacated the place. if there are insects in the seating area just imagine how dirty their kitchen must be. please take care of the customers. i visited in the evening on 18th dec 2025
