I had a very disappointing experience at KOA. The service was extremely slow, and the staff were not attentive to the tables at all. The music was so loud that it was difficult to even call a waiter, and each time we needed something, we had to keep waving repeatedly until someone finally noticed us. This made the entire dining experience quite frustrating. To make matters worse, several menu items were unavailable, including the non-veg dumplings, and there was no soup available at all. This was very surprising and disappointing for a place that presents itself as a premium restaurant but clearly does not live up to that standard. On top of that, a 10% service charge was added to the bill without informing us. As per regulations, service charge cannot be added automatically. It was only removed after we asked them to do so, which should not have been necessary in the first place. Overall, the experience did not match the expectations set by the restaurant’s branding and pricing.

KOA at Korum Mall is what happens when a restaurant invests heavily in interiors and completely forgets how actual hospitality works. We went as a group of 11, and somehow, despite the place being almost empty, the service was pure chaos. No coordination, no system—just random staff members appearing, dropping dishes on the table like a delivery service, and disappearing before you could even ask for basic things like cutlery or tissues. The first server set the tone perfectly: attitude from the start and a firm “no” to literally every customization request, without even pretending to check with the kitchen. At that point, it felt less like dining out and more like negotiating with someone who had already decided they didn’t care. Food timings? Impressive, if the goal was to test patience. Dishes took ages to arrive—some close to 45 minutes—and even then, they managed to be underwhelming. A pizza promised in 20 minutes took significantly longer, which honestly sums up how casually timelines are treated here. And just when you think it can’t get more confusing, a “manager” shows up towards the end—only to add to the confusion rather than resolve anything. That moment alone explains why everything else felt so unstructured. The only saving grace was one staff member who actually seemed polite and willing to help—but one person can’t carry an entire restaurant on their own. KOA looks like a premium dining spot, but the experience says otherwise. Right now, it feels less like a restaurant and more like a group project where nobody knew what they were doing. Great place to take pictures. Just don’t expect a good dining experience.

Worst dining experience ever. Firstly, the food is terrible. Not properly cooked. Ambience is only good for photos, inside it feels suffocating, ventilation was terrible, not sure how old their ACs are. Coming to service, MR. SANKET is a horrible manager. Very rude. He also denied us our own water bottle, asked us to purchase theirs packaged water. When asked for regular, they had clearly spit into it. They said their policy doesn’t allow people to bring water from their home also. He called his restaurant A grade, I wouldn’t even give it a C. No restaurant ever denied me using my own personal (opened non-branded) water bottle. I feel you see paid reviews here. Along with us, another big family left hotel arguing with their Manager Mr. Sanket who is so rude and doesn’t listen only. I am not sure but I think they can be sued for not allowing customers to drink from their own water bottle. PATHETIC PEOPLE
