My fiance surprised me with my absolute favourite Fresh fruit Gateaux just after our engagement.. it was heavenly in every bite. There's just something about a fruit cake that can never be replaced by a chocolate cake.

Beautiful and affordable place to buy a cake for your loved ones. I love the red velvet cake. The bakery products are so fresh and tasty.

One of the worst and humiliating experiences at the supposedly known-for-its-hospitality Taj. I took my nephew and niece and parents to Taj because it was my niece's birthday and she wanted to get a cake from La Pattiserie. the others wanted to try other baked products. I called the cake shop prior to my visit and they confirmed that the shop is open till 9 pm. I arrived at the hotel lobby at 8:15 pm. As soon as we entered, we were (rather not) greeted by an absolutely demeaning staff who outrightly asked me my purpose of visit to the premises. She first lied to us that the cake shop is closed and she would not allow the family to sit in the lobby. Later she, in a very polite as well as demeaning tone, told us off saying we will not be allowed to even sit in the lobby. Only one adult can accompany the kids to the cake shop, buy and leave the hotel is what we were instructed. Surprised and shocked, when we said that each of us would like to choose and buy something, I was asked if I was actually planning to buy something. Excuse me?? I was ready to walk out and Upon losing my calm she told us that since all of us "have come to the hotel only to buy cake" we can go in. Firstly, if you have a limit on the number of people who can visit the cake shop, put that number outright. Secondly, I have a wallet and an intention to visit the hotel (not my first time).. what business is it of the staff person to ask me if I am actually intending to buy a product for every person with me. Is this the customer service The Taj is known for? Not to my knowledge.. and will I ever visit you again after feeling this insulted.. Never! thanks for ruining my niece's birthday. The poor girl's face had dropped.

Extremely disappointing experience at the Taj Mahal Palace. Most items I initially asked for were out of stock. I then ordered four chocolate macarons for takeaway. They were handed to me dumped loosely in a paper bag—no proper packaging, completely below Taj standards. To make matters worse, I was given only three chocolate macarons; the fourth was a random flavour, with no communication or consent. I’ve been coming to the Taj for years, which is why this sub-standard quality of food handling and poor service was shocking. Serious lapse in attention to detail and overall management.

All the best if you trying to place an order through phone call at La pattisarie. First of all they won’t answer the call and in case you are fortunate enough to get to chat with them, your call will be kept hanging in pretext of taking your order details. ‘ just allow us a minute ‘ as they say, which will be at least 7-10 mins and the call gets disconnected after that. Horrible service. I am surprised at the way they treat a customer. I woudnt even give one star to this kind of service.

I went in to purchase a macaroon and the staff was rude and said the macaroons on display were dummy macaroons. I have no idea what led them to feel like they could behave like this. They seem to have an attitude problem
