A South Indian restaurant located in Colaba. Its interior is simple with a good crowd of locals and foreign tourists. Had ordered a variety of South Indian dishes like Dosas, Uttappas etc. Also, had ordered Puri Bhaji as well as a Mini meal. The service was good. The ambience was average. The prices were reasonable. Overall, a good place for South Indian food.

I was here early morning 8AM after visiting siddhivinayak temple.. Unexpectedly there was waiting for the table because the food is sooo good that people wait for hours together to get a seat.. Canteen type seating arrangement but their mysore masala dosa was delicious

This is one of the oldest South Indian breakfast place located in a very prime location of Colaba. The place has atleast been there for 50 yrs. They serve authentic breakfast items. Its a very small place in which they have an AC and non AC sections. The service was descent. The food tasted good. Chutney, Sambar etc had some amount of sweet in it, which may not be preferred to some. Dosa was great. Filter coffee was authentic. The prices were reasonable. They accept upi payment methods. Parking is not available. Overall a good experience.

Madras cafe is a small and simple hidden gem in Colaba which serves extraordinary South Indian food. The Chilly Cheese Dosa was loaded with capsicum and cheese(a combination which i love) but missing the crisp. The sambhar was a bit sweet - which i love and the coconut chutney was perfect with the dosa. The filter coffee was served in authentic style a-brass tumbler. The coffee was frothy and bitter-one which will give u coffeegasm. The ambience was okaish but very clean. The staff were courteous and greeted everyone who entered. After visiting Madras Cafe you will surely want to catch the Chennai Express.
