Walking into Malgudi in Chembur felt like stepping into a celebration of regional South Indian cuisine. Instead of sticking to the usual favourites, the menu showcases flavours from different parts of South India, making the experience feel unique from the very beginning. We started with the Malgudi Picante and Astra mocktails, both refreshing and a great way to kick off the meal. The Podi Cheese Balls were crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavour, making them an easy crowd favourite. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Mulbagal Legacy Dosa, which stood apart with its distinctive texture and preparation style. The Sri Lankan Tamil Curry with Idiyappam was rich and comforting, while the Mango Puliserry with Appam offered a wonderful balance of sweet and tangy flavours. We ended the meal with the Chocolate Pull Up Cake, which was indulgent and satisfying. With its inviting ambience, attentive service, and thoughtfully curated menu, Malgudi is a great choice for anyone looking to explore authentic South Indian food in Mumbai.

If you want to experience a fine dining experience with some authentic South Indian food, Malgudi is the perfect destination. This place has such a beautiful interior design. Everything is designed with detail. Also the menu is well curated. We had drinks - Tira Miss U - Loveeed it. A strong coffee with Tiramisu foam. Amazing combination. Malgudi Picante - Guava, Pomegranate with Chilli. Then we had - Moringa Soup, Butter Pepper Garlic Water Chestnut (Highly recommend), Ghee Podi Thatte Idli (Too good), Davangere Benne Podi Dosa (Yummiest dosa) Sri Lankan Tamil Curry with Idiyappam - I had this combination for the first time and I really liked it. So soul soothing. Do not miss out the Filter Coffee Panna Cotta. It's a must try dessert. It's so jiggly and yummy!

Had a really lovely experience at Malgudi Cafe. The ambience is warm, cozy, and has that perfect South Indian café charm that instantly makes you feel relaxed. The food was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented — especially the dosa, filter coffee, and chutneys which tasted authentic and comforting. What stood out the most was the balance between traditional flavours and modern presentation. The staff was polite, attentive, and made sure everything was served on time. The overall vibe is great for family lunches, casual meetups, or even a peaceful solo coffee break. Definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy authentic South Indian food with a modern café experience. Will surely be coming back to try more from the menu!

Starting from getting a table really quick to people servicing and guiding us was very smooth I liked the ambience and the food was like cherry on top of a cake. Highly Recommend and Do have this experience to make your day!!!
