I recently visited this place and honestly, it turned out to be such a delightful dining experience. From drinks to desserts, almost everything we tried was thoughtfully curated and packed with flavor. The menu beautifully balances traditional South Indian influences with modern twists, and it truly shows in every dish. Special mention to Amandeep, whose recommendations were absolutely spot on — we ended up trying some of the best dishes on the menu, which truly made the entire experience worth it. Drinks We started with the Malgudi Picante, and this was easily one of the highlights of the evening. Perfectly balanced with just the right kick, refreshing yet bold — a must-try if you enjoy cocktails that are both flavorful and unique. The Surya Dravya Tamil was equally impressive. It had a distinct regional character and felt very well crafted rather than overly experimental. Smooth, refreshing, and extremely enjoyable — highly recommended. Food The Ghee Podi Thatte Idli completely stole the show. Soft, fluffy idlis drenched in aromatic ghee and coated with podi — comforting, nostalgic, and incredibly satisfying. Another standout was the Open Mango Dosa, a creative yet delicious combination with the perfect sweet-tangy balance. The Podi Cheese Balls were great comfort bites — crispy outside, cheesy inside, and perfect for sharing. The Butter Pepper Garlic Water Chestnut deserves special mention for its amazing texture and seasoning. Easily one of the most unique and memorable dishes we tried. Dessert We ended with the Mango Panna Cotta, which was light, silky, and refreshing — the perfect way to end the meal. Overall Experience Great food, innovative menu, and consistently well-executed dishes. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Visited Malgudi recently and tried quite a few things, and honestly it was such a fun food experience! 🤌✨ The Mulbagal Legacy Cheese Dosa (onion masala) was amazing, crispy outside, soft inside, with that cheesy and onion masala combo just hitting right. The Davangere Benne Dosa was honestly the best, super buttery and melts in your mouth. The cheese dosa overall was top notch! Tried the Podi Cheese Balls too, perfect burst of flavours 💥 though I felt the cheese could have been slightly more inside. Also had the Malgudi Picante drink, loved how it was served in a unique way, made the whole experience even more fun! The Butter Pepper Garlic Water Chestnuts were hands down one of the best, super crunchy and full of flavour. Overall great food, great vibe, and definitely worth visiting. Would love to come back and try more! 💛

This newly opened Celebrity owned Shankar Mahadevans restaurant Malgudi is becoming popular day by day . Instaworthy interiors, open kitchen, filter kaapi barista is really catchy and very much needed. If you go you need to try their Mulbagal legacy dosa loaded with onion and cheese a must must order. Also Dindigul biryani was just I cannot resist having much lovely From the mango menu we tried Mango pullisery and appam and mango chilli picante . I loved the drink surya dravya tamil which had a smoky flavour with a sweet and tangy taste . Devangere dosa was also good . pal payasam kulfi was too yummy served in a pot and loved the payasam . Kamla mills just got better with this pure veg restaurant.

Loved the decor and ambience. Was a relief to have sambar that was not sweet. Food was fresh and tasty. But wish the portions were larger.
