Malwan Samudra is a historic restaurant setup and operating since my childhood at Vikhroli, functioning since the past 50 years as far as I know. I love the thaali and all their dishes in it. It’s a special place for me and will always be!!!

From their Sea Food dishes to Mutton Biriyani, every item on their menu is just yummy. Service is prompt and efficient. I have been having my lunch here for over 15 years and still loving it.

Will recommend their prawns dry thali and surmai thali with bhakri. Damn reasonably priced. Parking can be managed close by. Quite compact so go early to get a table.

Namaskar Dosto.... I am posting the review after long time. Now the Malvan Samudra was our go to place before pandemic as this is near to our office. I have not written any review about this place before so thought let's write now. We had all of their thalis and they are worth trying which are mostly worth the price. This time we had some of their best sellers which are Malvani Bombil fry, Prawns Fry, Malvani Kombadi Wade and Solkadhi. Malvani Bombil Fry - 4/5 - of course this is the best seller and lot of people love to have this. The fish is fresh and deep fried starter. You can also opt for tawa fry. Prawns Fry - 3.5/5 - the prawns are marinated with same masala/batter that of Bombil. Good in taste and can be tried if you love prawns. This dish is different from prawns Koliwada. Malvani Kombadi Wade - 4.5/5 - this is the highlight of the day and had to try if you visit Malvan Samudra. Though the Wade are deep fried but we can give a try for 1 time. If you don't love Wade, then you can opt for bhakri. Solkadhi - 5/5 - Must try. You can enjoy this as welcome drink, during or post lunch, depend on you but definitely try this

We visited this restaurant on Sunday evening. This place is located at a distance of 100m from Vikhroli railway station. This place serves some really good Maharashtrian cuisine. This place was crowded as it is loved by most of local Maharashtrians . We started off with some Prawns Koliwada which was crispy and tasted good . We had really high expectations from Surmai but it wasn't really that great. . For mains we ordered Chicken Handi (half), the serving of which was enough for 4 people along with some vade and chappati. . Lastly we ended our heavy and pleasant meal with a sol kadi. . Overall this is a great place to try their Maharashtrian cuisine

A worthwhile and decently priced place for seafood cravings. The Bombil fry is too, too good, and must not be missed. The thalis are worth the try with their flavourful curry and solkhadi.

Malvan Samudra Honest Review! Malvan Samudra is one of the oldest restaurants in Vikhroli (West) specially known for its authentic sea food and Indian food. It's taste was great especially it's sea food. Good Ambiance and you can visit here with family and friends. They serve Malvan cuisine as well as chinese and others. The specialty is Bombil chilly. I also ordered bheja fry. It was awesome. They got many fish and chicken dishes as well as mutton. But when we visited the last time the results were disappointing and the taste was not good as always. We ordered Chicken Handi and ended up regretting because first of all the prices were too high and chicken handi was eventually tasteless, it was not even spicy , no salt was added to it. Before main course we ordered Chicken Crispy too but it's taste was average. With chicken we ordered wade and bhakris they we good as it doesn't need anything miracle to make good bhakris and wade. We expected main course to be tasty but it wasn't. But still if you are willing to visit this place you should take a chance. Surely try their Solkadhi with main course and they vary with many fish thalis and chicken thalis. Eat Fresh Stay Healthy ❤️

The dining experience was disappointing due to the lack of flavor and poor preparation of the dishes. The Prawns Koliwada were merely deep-fried without additional seasoning or spices, resulting in a lackluster taste. The Surmai Fry was similarly bland, lacking any distinctive flavor. The Chicken Lollipop was tough, rubbery, and difficult to consume, further overall the experience was disappointing and poor

Chicken lollipop was not chrunchy, chicken special masala was watery and tasteless. Chicken biryani was not upto the mark. Kombdi wade 👎
