Mama Kane located in the vicinity of Dadar Railway Station is one of the oldest restaurants in Mumbai. A typical pure veg Maharashtrian restaurant at a reasonable cost. The menu over here is limited. Service is quite prompt. The staff is friendly and polite.. We ordered:- 1.Batata vada 2.Thalipith 3.Misal pav 4.Aluvadi (Patra) 5.Piyush One of the best places that serves mouth watering Misal pav. Aluvadi (Patra) was served with garlic chutney.

Mama Kane is iconic when it comes to authentic and traditional Maharashtrian food. They are very famous for their vada, misal pav, sabudana vada, thalipith and kothimbir vadi. I had misal pav and vada this time, the misal was okay okay and I think earlier it was used to be the best. Batata vada remains iconic here with the same taste. If you are visiting this place don’t forget to have kothimbir vadi and thalipith.

As I hail from Konkan, Maharastra and having explored 100s of Misal houses in Maharashtra I can say that this is one definetly fall in top 10. You dont feel any sort of discomfort and its the cleanest one I have ever had. In Mumbai Mamledar used to be my top choice but since I tried this one, it definetly beats Mamledar

Operational Days and Timings mentioned on Zomato and Just Dial are not. This place is not open on Mondays and on other days their operational timings are different. Pls check before hand if you are planning a visit.

One of the Iconic Restaurant in dadar. Its a oldschool Restaurant with Full on 80's vibe Table is on Sharing basis We visited on saturday evening around 6:00 pm so only misal pav and Batata Vada was available. Batata Vada was mindblowing espically the sukhi laal chutney was damn to good Misal Pav was not that good, it has more farsan then the pulses and masala tasted little kacha kacha Chai and Coffee was aldo good Yes and there is a waiting of 10-15 mins

*MAMA KANE since 1910* .. In the pictures are Maharashtra delicacies : - Batata Vada - Misal Pav - Thalpeeth - Kothmbir Vadi I also tried kokam sharbat and solkhadi. ..... All the above are recommended if you are visiting for the very first time. The location is near the flower market in dadar West.

so we went to this restaurant...unbelievably it is soo clean even in this rainy season...staff is attentive ... good food in resonable price... one thing is u have to share table but as long as good food is served it doesnt natter...we tried misal pav and vada usal...chumeshwari taste

The restaurant is clean, food is tasty. However, on a Saturday evening 7.30 PM only Wada Pav and Misal is available, So those planning to have an elaborate meal keep in mind
