Tried the Mughal inspired Siraj Ud Dawla Thaal from Mezbaan , I’m mind blown by the majestic feast of flavours and textures. It was an assorted mix of starters , gravy and rice. It was a 10/10 I would definitely recommend to try it once.

Mezban in Colaba is one of those old gems where tradition meets taste, and it has carved a niche for itself, especially for those who relish Arabian flavours. Although the menu mainly concentrates on Mughlai, North Indian, and Indian Chinese cuisine, the dishes here are subtly blended to match Arabian taste profiles, with all meals being less spicy but rich in flavour. The ambience is straightforward, offering both AC and non-AC sections for family and non-family seating. The AC section, in particular, has private dining tables for up to six people, which provides a more intimate dining experience. There's nothing over-the-top about the decor; it’s just a decent, comfortable restaurant where the focus is clearly on the food. When it comes to meat, Mezban excels. The chicken and mutton dishes are exceptional, with the meat always juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried, whether chicken or mutton, left us fully satisfied. Starting with the Chicken Manchow Soup was prepared with less spice and colour compared to the usual versions, making it taste slightly different but still enjoyable. The highlight, however, was the Chicken Crispy, which was mind-blowing! Its unique flavour and melt-in-your-mouth chicken pieces make it a must-try, whether as a starter or paired with a rice dish. We also had the Mutton Ribs (Putt), which were perfectly cooked and served with Bukhara Rice, forming a delightful custom platter. The mutton was soft and flavorful, making it one of the standout dishes of the meal. For the main course, we opted for the Seekh Kebab Masala, which did not disappoint. The butter naan served alongside was also spot on. In terms of pricing, Mezban strikes the right balance, it’s reasonably priced for the quality and quantity offered. The only minor downside is the slightly slow service, and they do not accept UPI payments. Overall, Mezban deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars for its consistent quality, fantastic meat dishes, and reasonable pricing. A must-visit for anyone in Colaba looking for delicious, Arabian-inspired flavours!

A small restaurant located in Colaba. It is frequented with locals as well as foreigners. It's interior is quite simple and had a small AC dining hall. On getting the aromas outside, had ordered a half Tandoori chicken. However, it took a bit of time to get served. Once it was served, took a bite of it. The leg piece, wing tasted good with the marinated masala in it. The quantity was good. The ambience was good. The service was fine. The price was slightly on a higher side. Overall, a good place for Tandoori & Mughlai cuisines.

Mezban a perfect moghali meal at a limited budget !! So, I went at this restaurant when I literally dying out of hunger and being a Non-Veg lover the first thing came into my mind was chicken and I have to admit it was delicious. So here's my detailed review at Mezbaan Location: it's located in colaba, so if you are travelling from local train you might need to catch a cab as its around 2km far from station. However if you are near iconic Gateway of India then it's at a walkable distance. Food : food tastes awesome from mughlai perspective it's one of the best to have in colaba locality. Food potion size is also justifiable. Service : this is where disappointment starts, the service is slow u might have to wait for a while to get your order , so if you are patient then it shouldn't be a problem from you 😜 Ambiance : The ambiance is okayyyyyish , something you would find at local hotel. There is different A/C & Non A/C section and family section as well. The place is enjoyable with friends as well as families. Price : Approx 300 per person #mughlai #chickentandoori #reshmikebab #chickenkebab #friedrice #butternaan #buttertandooriroti #mezban

Not at all worth visiting. Starters were served in the middle of the dinner. We ordered Mutton Chap with Bukhari Rice and we got thick rice dipped in some sort of Gravy. It was not Bukhari rice nor biryani. Chicken faham was also not Chicken faham. When it was pointed to the server, stock reply was we offer this only. Mismanagement in service. Poor experience.

So the portion of the dish is very less than the others...we order chicken bhuna and it was worth less...no taste at all ...it jus chicken tossed in onion masala..no claver..big chunks of chicken.....they should improve their dishes...being a chef it not the one they are serving to us...very cheap taste....
