Had a really enjoyable meal at Ming Yang. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The lemon pepper veg soup and lemon pepper chicken soup were comforting and full of flavour, perfect to begin the meal. The triangular dimsums were fresh, soft, and nicely filled, and the crispy corn cake was a great starter — crunchy, light, and very tasty. For the mains, the chicken Hakka noodles were spot on, the burnt garlic veg rice had a lovely aroma and depth, and the Kung Pao chicken was a definite standout — flavourful with just the right kick. The assorted vegetables were fresh and well cooked, making for a well-balanced spread overall. Service was quick and smooth, and the team was warm and attentive throughout. The view adds to the experience and makes the place feel special. The only letdown was being charged for bottled water despite clearly asking for regular water. For a restaurant in a luxury hotel, this small miss does leave a slightly sour note. That said, Ming Yang gets most things right — great food, fast service, and genuine hospitality. Just hope they’re a bit more mindful of these small details going forward.

We recently revisited the Chinese restaurant at Taj Lands End after a less-than-ideal first experience, and I must say, they truly went above and beyond to make things right. The team invited us back for a complimentary meal, and the level of care and attention we received was exceptional. The chef personally curated a delightful spread and ensured every dish met our expectations. Ayan, the restaurant manager, went out of his way to check in with us throughout the meal, ensuring we had a flawless experience. A special mention also goes to Mr. Francis, the Senior F&B Director, whose dedication to customer satisfaction was remarkable. Their combined efforts to turn our experience around were greatly appreciated. The food was exquisite, the service impeccable, and the hospitality heartfelt. It’s rare to see such commitment to creating a memorable dining experience, and they’ve earned our loyalty. Highly recommended!

I had heard a lot of about this place. But, please save your money as there are much better places serving better Chinese food in Mumbai. Royal China being the closest one. Mediocre at best.

Absolutely not worth the price. It's not even 1% of the expectation of a new gastronomical experience one has while visiting a high end restaurant. Had ordered spring roll and Sichuan noodles, the taste was the same as that you would find at a roadside Chinese stall, or a Udupi owned multicuisine restaurant, or a mall food court outlet.

Worst Chinese food I ever had in my life. Everything was bad. Crunchy spinach was not crunchy at all, it was burnt and soggy. Vegetable salt and pepper was mostly French fries with no taste. Even replacement dishes were awful. We asked for mild schewan chicken so the cook ( he should not be called a chef ). The Hakka noodles were street style. Vegetables in white garlic sauce were like boiled vegetables with no crunch. Overall, a horrible experience for which we paid Rs. 19 000. I think they should fire the cook, ask for explanation from the manager and close the restaurant. After all, they don’t know how to cook Chinese food, so why they are befooling the people. This restaurant is a blot in the name of Taj.

Checked in Taj Lands End and walked in to the restaurant on Christmas. Didn’t get any seat. It’s bizarre given the fact that even the residents can’t eat. Suggest the authorities to put the disclaimer in the reservation that you can stay but can’t dine in select restaurants- will help the customers to take better decisions before the booking.
