First time here. Didn't know what to expect. Blew my expectations! We had the Zuppa de gambretti e pesce.10/10. rich soup base. nothing was needed to add over and above like a Chilli vinegar to a chinese soup for example. the beef roast was served with mashed potatoes, sliced potatoes that had absorbed the juicy roast sauce and veggies. The roast was succulent and juicy. Mutton dhansak was like a typical dhansak. the rice and the little kebabs served with it were YUM. Just one note and this is because we consume less salt at home was that we found the gravy on the roast and dhansak gravy a little salty for our taste. nothing that cannot be changed if we request before hand. Excited to go there again to try the rest of the menu.

Write a review on cafe Mocambo for Mumbai It's a parsi style restaurant with affordable food Gives you og bombay charm vibes from an era. Had the pomodoro risotto with chicken which was nice. A grilled chicken sizzler which was a little peppery, a coronation lamb which had lamb in a white cheesey sauce with bacon. It was so indulgent I loved it and a beer to down it all in the April heat. Service was prompt and 15% discount on Zomato was a cherry on the cake

If you’re a fan of Jugheads and Pop Tates in Mumbai, then this place is very similar. Gets its name and menu inspiration from the Mocambo restaurant in Kolkata, although the Kolkata one is atleast 10 times better. It’s definitely worth visiting, but the menu could be a hit and miss given the multiple items with minute variations. So basically you may end up ordering Dish A but maybe would have liked Dish B which is just different by a sauce or ingredient.

the lamb chops ordered took too long to be served. While the shortage of gas is understandable, staff should at least inform the diner that the dish may take long. the meat was undercooked, chewey at parts, with small shards of bone sticking out, indicating that it was either sourced from poor quality suppliers or not washed and prepared properly.

It's a pretty small and cozy place and very close to my office. i visited thrice and each of my experiences has been disappointing. Food is very average
