Was on my way back home and that's when I saw this outlet. The name grabbed my attention and thought of trying some of the dishes. Known for some excellent Maharashtrian cuisines this place is a must try. Pav Bhaji:- A nice snack to have while you're hungry. Well cooked bhaji with pav submerged in butter. Came with finely chopped onions and lime, tasted good. Kothimbir wadi:- This is my favourite snack to have and it was really amazing here. Crispy from the outside and soft on the inside this wadi is really amazing. Veg Cheese Toast Sandwich:- A simple toast sandwich is really amazing to have. With veggies on the inside and grilled to perfection this really tasted so delicious. Onion uttapam:- Soft uttapam with delicious onions & corrainder over it. Served with sambhar and coconut chutney. The coconut chutney was spicy and sambhar was really good. Sol kadhi:- Good solkadi, not upto the mark. There was a little extra pepper in it which was disturbing to the throat. If that part is ignored it was good to have.

We made the decision to have some south Indian cuisine at Modakam after Ganpati Bappa's darshan at the Siddhivinayak Temple. This location is right outside the temple, and you can tell it apart from the others because of its attractive Modak-shaped roofing. Here, even the backseat of the chairs are shaped like a Modak. We ate masala dosa from Mysore. The dosa was absolutely excellent and had a gorgeous appearance. It had Mysore masala inside and was quite crispy. After that, we had onion-tomato Uthappa, which was plain, straightforward, and excellent. It was served with tasty coconut chutney and sambhar. All fitness enthusiasts can undoubtedly find this here. With chaas, we ate both of these dishes (buttermilk)

10/08/2024 If you're looking for a delightful breakfast experience in Dadar, MODKAM is a must-visit spot, especially for devotees and food lovers alike. Nestled conveniently near the renowned Siddhivinayak Temple, MODKAM serves up a culinary feast that is nothing short of sensational! I had the pleasure of relishing their morning breakfast dishes, and let me tell you, each bite was a burst of flavor. The Kothimbir Vadi was exceptional—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served piping hot. I found myself ordering it not once, but four times! That's a testament to how addictive and delicious it is. Now, let's talk about their Ukdiche Modak. These little dumplings of joy are incredibly soft and melt in your mouth. The traditional stuffing of coconut and jaggery, enhanced with the aromatic notes of cardamom and nutmeg, was an absolute treat for the taste buds. Just when I thought I was full, the taste lingered, leaving me wanting more. Truly, "pet bhar gaya par man nahi bhara" (my stomach is full but my heart is not). The Butter Sada Dosa was another highlight of my meal. Perfectly crisp, with just the right amount of butter, it was a satisfying accompaniment to the rest of my breakfast. Their fresh fruit juice was refreshing and added a perfect touch to complete the meal. That said, I did have a *slight disappointment with the Puranpoli. I had requested ghee with it, but was informed they add it beforehand. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the Puranpoli was smaller than expected and lacked the ghee I was looking forward to. Given the busy atmosphere, I didn't bring it to the staff's attention, but I hope they consider this feedback.*after that I ate that dry puranpoli with the chutney of kothimbir vadi. Also, *I kindly urge the team at MODKAM to serve a small bowl of ghee with the Modak. The combination of warm Modak and ghee is nothing short of divine!* In conclusion, MODKAM delivers an exceptional breakfast experience that shouldn't be missed. With an array of delicious dishes and cozy vibes, it's a splendid choice for a morning meal. I can't wait to return for more of their delightful offerings!

Modakam is one of the famous place in Mumbai for steamed modaks (known as उकडीचे मोदक in marathi) This place is just besides Siddhivinayak Temple, Dadar. It has small dining area with approximately 7-8 tables. Their chairs caught my attention. They were so cute modak shaped. Their service is quick. • Ambiance: 3.5/5 They have variety of dishes ranging from South Indian to Pav Bhaji. But Vada Pav and Modak is their speciality. • Ukdiche Modak or Steam Modak: 4/5 This is popular Maharashtrian dish and is Ganpati Bappa's favourite dish. The filling of modak is made of coconut and jaggery only. Then that filling is placed inside rice dough and is shaped delicately. These modaks are later kept for steaming. The price of a single modak is ₹40. I personally liked this, but I feel it should not be prepared in template. Handmade modaks have different type of emotions attached with it. So when you are at Siddhivinayak don't forget to have modak from Modakam. Do follow @flavoursoffeast for more such reviews because food makes good mood 💌

It's a small nice convenience restaurent near the Temple But the quality of all the food isn't that great for taste wise Misal pav was the most right and decent one Vada pav besan has too much soda and was so small vada and no dry chutney and no dry chillies Pav bhaji bhaji also didn't have good taste, did not finish the meal, left it Mysore sada dosa was slight burnt and was just okay No tissue or water on table Having a restaurant at such a prime location, with good quality food later they need to improve Found it expensive for the quality and quantity of food

Tried their misal pav and ukadiche modak which was not so good. With misal they didn't even serve tarri . Also they should keep their kitchen clean. Tissue papers were littering on the wet floor of the kitchen. Unhygienic view , disgusting don't ever visit here again

We ordered a mysore masala dosa and we were served with a chilled dosa straight out of the refrigerator. The masala was warm which turned out to be a cauliflower sabzi. We also tried out a veg sandwich which had bitter cucumbers.

Worst customer service and staff behaviour is pathetic. Didn't ask whether want to order more food or not, just had over the bill & made me go out!
