311th restaurant to be rated a complete 5on5 by me. Mokai has now moved to its new location in Pali Hill, Bandra West. The colourful exterior makes it stand out and is hard to miss. The moment you step inside, the ambience instantly catches your attention. The décor is thoughtfully designed, and the Wall of Fame adds a unique touch. The ground floor houses the coffee bar, while the first floor features an exclusive matcha bar where you can watch their signature matcha beverages being freshly prepared. The seating is cosy, comfortable and perfect for spending a relaxed evening. The menu offers a good variety of multi-cuisine dishes along with some unique options that are worth trying. Their beverage menu is equally impressive, and matcha lovers will especially enjoy the dedicated matcha selection. The prices are at par with similar cafés in Bandra. Went here for dinner and absolutely loved the overall vibe of the place. The table service by Staff Abhijeet was prompt and courteous throughout the meal. What We Had - APPETISERS~ Tom Yum Broth Prawns & Coriander Dimsums. 5/5 Prawn Star Burger. 5/5 MAINS~ Mokai’s Khao Suey. 4/5 Nasi Goreng. 5/5 DESSERTS~ 55% Valrhona Flourless Chocolate Cake. 5/5 Brownie Tiramisu Jar. 5/5 BEVERAGES~ Tiramisu Iced Latte. 5/5 Pandan Coconut Cooler. 5/5 Overall, our meal at Mokai was excellent. The beautiful décor, relaxing ambience and delicious food make it a place where you’ll want to spend more time. It is definitely worth visiting, especially if you enjoy great coffee, matcha and unique café experiences.

What a lovely experience we had ! The management team were quick to accommodate our group of seven. Although I haven’t had everything on their menu, but the san sebastian hokkaido Savoury cheesecake is an app that is sure to surprise you. I cannot recommend the tornado egg fried rice, enough. And and and if you are into matcha - must try their Jasmine infused coconut Matcha, it will make your day! Thank you Mokai for living upto the hype. Keep it up !!

Tried Mokai after seeing all the Instagram hype, and honestly… mixed feelings. We spent - 3600 for two people. (Don’t fall for 1500 for two mentioned on zomato/google) 🥪 Chicken Banh Mi – 1/5 More salad than chicken (and very little chicken at that). The bread didn’t taste fresh and was quite hard to chew. 🥟 Peanuty Satay Wonton – 5/5 ⭐ Our absolute favourite! Packed with flavour and easily the standout dish. ☕ Vanilla Einspanner Latte – 5/5 Loved it. Rich, creamy, and worth ordering again. 🫐 Blueberry Protein Smoothie – 4/5 Refreshing and well-balanced. 🍰 Mokai Style Tiramisu – 2.5/5 Too sweet for our liking. We’ve had much better tiramisu in Bandra itself. The portion size was surprisingly small too. We also requested a “Happy Anniversary” plate, but the presentation wasn’t aesthetic and felt rushed. 🍛 Mama’s Curry – 4/5 The sauce was delicious, but the chicken had a slight smell that threw us off. 🍤 Bang Bang Prawns – 1.5/5 Big disappointment. Mostly oily fried prawns with very little flavour inside.

After waiting for almost half hour I finally settled for a takeaway, which is okay but Mokai needs to organise the way people wait there can be a dedicated corner where customers stand instead of in every corner of the cafe, it seems disrespectful to someone eating. My second issue with the place is their packaging 10 minutes into sitting with my coffee in the car, the straw spilt and it become impossible for me to consume my house cold coffee. I appreciate the place and ambiance highly. However smaller things like these need absolute careful attention.

The place is only hype and no management. Even after waiting for 40-45 minutes the food is average. Not worth the hype at all.
