Had a really satisfying experience here — the food was consistently good across everything we ordered 😋✨ We started with the masala dosa, which was crisp on the outside and perfectly golden, with a well-balanced potato filling that wasn’t overly spicy but full of flavour. The rava masala dosa had that lovely lacy, crisp texture that makes rava dosa so enjoyable, and it held the masala beautifully without getting soggy. The benne dosa was an absolute highlight 🤍 — rich, buttery, and beautifully crisp with that signature softness inside. You can really taste the quality of the butter, and it just melts in your mouth. The podi idli was another standout — soft, bite-sized idlis coated generously in podi with just the right amount of ghee, making it aromatic and comforting 🌶️ The neer dosa was light and delicate, pairing very well with the sides and offering a nice contrast to the crisp dosas. We also tried the tomato onion uttapam, which was soft and fluffy with a generous topping — slightly tangy from the tomatoes and balanced with the sweetness of onions 🍅🧅 It felt wholesome and filling without being heavy. And of course, the filter coffee was the perfect way to end the meal ☕ — strong, fragrant, and exactly how it should be. Overall, everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully made. Definitely a place I’d come back to when craving really good South Indian food 💛

Another day, another South Indian spot. This time Mutuswami in Khar for dinner, and it turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. Started with a hot chocolate, which honestly didn’t work at all. Watery and underwhelming, definitely a skip. 3/10. But things picked up with their popcorn flavoured filter coffee, which was surprisingly good. Unique, aromatic and actually worth trying. 9/10. For starters, the butter garlic idlis were soft and flavourful with a nice richness. 8/10. The dahi vada was mild, calming and easy to eat, though nothing standout, 7/10. The ghee podi dosa was easily the highlight. Crisp, loaded with podi and full of flavour. A must order here. 9/10. The cheese onion uttapam was decent but skippable, a 6/10. Ended with the pineapple sheera, which was sweet, fragrant and a nice finish to the meal, though I’ve had better versions, an 8/10. Overall, Mutuswami is worth a visit in Khar for its dosa and filter coffee, but a few dishes are better left skipped.

Had a wholesome and satisfying meal at Muttuswami, Khar, and it truly lived up to the comfort food cravings! We tried the Mysore Sada Dosa, Jain Pav Bhaji with extra pav, Paneer Chatpata Dosa, and Bisi Bele Bath with papad. The dosas were perfectly crisp with flavorful chutneys, and the Jain Pav Bhaji was rich, buttery, and full of taste even without onion and garlic. The Paneer Chatpata Dosa was loaded with paneer and had a nice spicy kick, making it one of our favorites. The Bisi Bele Bath was warm, comforting, and tasted authentic—perfect with the crunchy papad on the side. To complement the meal, we had cocktail juice and a mix dry fruit milkshake, which was thick, rich, and quite filling. Ended the meal with chocolate ice cream, which was simple yet satisfying. Overall, the food felt authentic, filling, and full of comforting flavors. A great place to visit when you’re craving hearty South Indian and classic comfort dishes. Would definitely visit again!!

Vanakkam to one of Khar’s coziest South Indian gems — Muttuswami Cafe 💛 This place truly delivers on authentic flavours with a comforting, homely vibe. We started with the ghee podi idli and butter garlic idli — both soft, flavour-packed, and absolutely indulgent. The mushroom sukka stood out with its bold spices and perfect texture, pairing beautifully with the flaky parotta. The muttuswami special benne dosa was a highlight — crisp on the outside, buttery, and incredibly satisfying. Lemon rice added that tangy, comforting balance to the meal. For drinks, the aam panna and mango shake were refreshing and seasonal winners, while the iced filter coffee was the perfect South Indian-style cooldown to end things on a high. Overall, a spot that blends authentic taste with a slightly modern touch — perfect for anyone craving a wholesome South Indian feast in Mumbai.

Had a great experience at Mutuswami Cafe, Khar outlet. The benne dosa was perfectly crispy and buttery, and the idli was soft and fresh. Loved the cheese pav bhaji and mushroom combo for that Mumbai-style twist. Mango milkshake and sheera were rich and satisfying. Overall, a solid spot for comfort food with quick service.
