Nayak’s in J.B. Nagar was a popular spot for seafood lovers and Maharashtrian food is what I've been hearing since I was a kid!! I've been enjoying Maharashtrian food since a while now. When I was at Nayak’s, I went straight to their specials. I ordered the fried King Fish, which was about Rs 350, and I thought it was well-priced. It was a banger! Fresh and well-marinated, the star of the dish was the crispy garlic and curry leaves on top. It was almost like the garlic crumble you'd get at Pan-Asian restaurants when ordering dishes like turnip cakes. Interestingly, Priyanka my friend accompanied me, thought it tasted very similar to the garlic chana chakna you get at bars. Do I need to sell it more? ? I then tried the Kombdi Wade. The chicken in the curry was perfectly cooked. Very few restaurants get that right. The curry was a little different from the usual, but it was hot! 🥵 🔥 🌶️🌶️ The Wade was incredible too; I only wish it had been a bit warmer. At Rs 230, it was a steal. I will definitely go back for the Stuffed Pomfret and Kori Kotti! Fair warning: it's a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. If you don’t like that ambiance, order in and enjoy!

I usually end up here after gym to grab a shawarma salad. The quantity is filing and you can ask the person making it to make it as per your requirements. I have been coming here constantly for last 2 weeks and the taste is just amazing!

I order chicken rassa and there was no singal piece of chicken in rassa .. Not up to the expectation 90 bugs they took only for rasaa and the quantity is also very less ... But the rassa was quite tasty

Ordered food from here for the first time. The Chicken liver had too much of masala and 4 pieces of liver swimming in oil. The shell fish was the same, totally oil filled the containers. Most of the shells were empty. The only good part about the thali was the zavla prawns that they gave. Very yummy and hence the 2 points.

Their bombil thali is good. Their paya soup and prawns thali is the worst. Their staff are very grumpy. It look like they are forced to work here. They have been bold to keep an open kitchen but the food is very poorly handled with no hygiene at all.

I went to had lunch but few points to mention from my observation. 1) when I went just after lockdown staff were not were mask and we're sweating. No cleanliness was maintained and hand was not covered by gloves not by single person. 2) In kitchen no hygeine was maintained. 3) waiter provides service depending upon customers. As I was alone he didn't gave me menu till 10 minutes but as soon as couple arrived they were treated quickly. 4) fish quality is not at all good if you have regularly. They coat with lot of masalas so it doesn't get noticed. Refrain from this restaurant if you want hygienic food.

The most pathetic place to be at . The owner Mr Gopal Nayak feels on top of the place . As a customer the most pathetic place to be at . When you give a customer experience for something your paying money for the owner of the place justifies saying in the pandemic it is justified to give less portions of chicken as the hotel is making less money , rather apologizing for sending less quantity he justifies buying chicken @220/- per kilo . The most pathetic customer service ever faced . The owner says if you are not satisfied then don’t order . We don’t need customers .

Don't go for the name tag. Not the typical tongue smacking malwani food here. Poor food taste to Price ratio.
