Last evening, I took Payal out for a sundowner date, looking for a place with good vibes, great food, and a setting that felt special—and that’s exactly how we ended up at Onrique. As the sun started setting and the city lights slowly came alive, this rooftop spot instantly set the mood for a perfect date night. What I loved about the place is that it offers multiple experiences under one roof—an elegant indoor seating area, plus two beautiful open-to-sky sections where you can enjoy the evening breeze and skyline views. There’s also a dance floor, which makes it equally great for parties or celebrations. Being a celebrity-favorite restaurant in Santacruz, it’s definitely on the premium side, but the overall experience makes it worth considering for special occasions. What we ordered: 🍸 Drinks • Wild Bush – Made with Grey Goose, vanilla, citrus, and raspberry foam. Smooth, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. • Semana Santa – A bold tequila-based cocktail with chili, red jalapeño, citrus, cilantro, and agave. Perfect if you enjoy smoky-spicy flavors. 🍴 Appetizers • Chips & Dips – Crispy potato chips and nachos served with guacamole and salsa. Simple, comforting, and perfect with cocktails. • Mashed Peas Croquettes – Super flavorful and one of our favorite starters, though I wish the portion size was a bit bigger. 🍕 Main Course • Primavera Pizza – Loaded with fresh veggies and cheese. Comfort food done right. • Spinach Ricotta Rotolo – Hands down the star of the night. Rolled pasta sheets stuffed with spinach and ricotta, served on a rich red sauce, topped with pine nuts and cheese. Every bite was absolutely worth it. 🍰 Dessert • Mango Cheesecake – Part of their limited summer menu, and what a way to end the meal. A deconstructed cheesecake that was so delicious we literally finished it in a minute. Final verdict: If you’re looking for a romantic rooftop date spot, a sundowner with your partner, or even a place to celebrate with friends, Onrique delivers on ambience, food, and experience. Yes, it’s a little expensive—but for the vibe, service, and memorable food, it makes for a beautiful evening. Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐

Visited Onrique at Khar Link Road for a date evening, and the place instantly sets the mood with its elegant rooftop ambience, warm lighting, and soothing music. The vibe feels intimate yet luxurious — perfect for long conversations, relaxed dinners, and special evenings. Onrique describes itself as “a restaurant that remembers how food used to make us feel,” inspired by soulful European dining traditions stretching from the Aegean to the Alps. That warmth and slow-living approach genuinely reflects in the overall experience. We started with their mocktails, The Royal Wedding and Smoke and Oak. Both were beautifully crafted and sophisticated in flavour — The Royal Wedding felt refreshing and elegant, while Smoke and Oak brought a smoky depth that paired perfectly with the rooftop setting. For appetisers, the Avocado Tartare was fresh, creamy, and delicately balanced, while the Grilled Peach Panzanella, our personal best surprised us with its beautiful mix of sweet grilled peaches, crunchy textures, and refreshing flavours. Both dishes felt light, refined, and thoughtfully plated. Moving on to the mains, the Risotto Saffrane was rich, creamy, and comforting with subtle saffron notes running through every bite. The Roasted Cauliflower with Pilaf Rice and Herbs was equally impressive — earthy, aromatic, and wholesome without feeling heavy. We ended the evening with the Mango Mille Feuille, which was crisp, creamy, and perfectly layered with fresh mango flavours, making it a refreshing end to the meal. Overall, Onrique is more than just a rooftop restaurant — it’s an experience rooted in warmth, elegance, and soulful dining. A special thanks to Shelton for making our evening feel extra warm and memorable with his hospitality. Definitely one of those places you visit for how it makes you feel.

Onrique is a very pretty restaurant with panoramic views. Its food and drinks are excellent and the staff is courteous. Crowd was great too. Drinks Crazy cocktails. Gateway to paradise was rum based, sweet and lingering. The tequila base drink had a tasty raspberry flavour. Starters The avocado tartine was sweet and tangy. Crispy and soft as well. Garlic bread pull apart was soft and fragrant. Mains Carded aubergine was amazing. Tomato gravy with cream and mild spices. The aubergine was soft and well cooked. Saffrone risotto was highly flavoured with aromatic spices and the burrata cheese was gooey and paired well with the risotto. Desert Swiss nocturne was very rich in coco and the blueberry added a great flavouring along with a bit of salty caramel. Tropical tres leches was all kinds of mango. A must try this season. Had an amazing dining experience at Orique. The ambience is absolutely superb — classy, cozy, and perfect for both a relaxed dinner and special occasions. The lighting, music, and overall vibe make the place feel very premium yet comfortable. The food was equally impressive. The Gambas Al Ajilie was packed with flavor, the Charred Chicken Skewers were perfectly cooked and smoky, and the Spaghetti AOP Pesto was fresh and delicious. Coq au Vin was another standout dish with rich flavors and great presentation. These dishes are definitely must-tries if you visit Orique!

Had such a great experience here! The food was sooo good and every dish was full of flavor. The cafe itself is absolutely gorgeous the ambience, decor, and vibe are just perfect. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again! ♥️

onrique - Loved the vibe here. would totally recommend their butter garlic prawns and pizza. Also Crispy fried chicken is a classic dish here and dont miss out on their drinks.

Horrible place ! It was so dirty so not understanding why it was charged the way it was. It had crow shit on the couch and the entrance has chairs. Ambiance was horrible and the windows were not even cleaned. Open air was just not needed Moved out in 5 mins. Save your money and time
