Having lived in Karnataka for a decade has always left me craving for authentic food from there (and not the overhyped ones with long queues outside making regular food overpriced and exclusive). Oor lives up to its name - absolutely home like food that’s cleverly elevated and ambience with little details of the space reminding of kannadiga elements. I went for my birthday lunch and got delicious rasam rice with a side of banana poriyal. Absolutely delicious walnut halwa (a must have) and refreshing chaas. Every flavor will be familiar, homely and at the same time elevated. Staff is attentive and also mindful in that I felt at ease (and at home/oor). It was lovely to interact with the owner Panchaali and learn about her Mangalore roots and here’s hoping we will see some Mangalore OGs (like bun) on the menu :)

Stumbled upon this hidden gem in Fort and what a discovery it turned out to be! From the very first bite, the food was spectacular. The podi idlis were bursting with flavour – perfectly soft with that spicy, aromatic kick. The medu wadas were crisp on the outside and beautifully fluffy inside, just the way they should be. What really stood out were the chutneys – clearly made fresh, each one vibrant and packed with authentic taste. And the sambhar? Absolutely excellent – rich, comforting, and full of depth. If you’re in South Mumbai and craving authentic South Indian food, this place is a must-try. Definitely coming back for more!

First time at Oor. Was googling South Indian places and came across it. Loved the food. Benne dosa, idli, and filter coffee were amazing. The place is very nicely done - simple, homely, superb service. Since we went on Mother’s Day, they offered us free dessert and the founders even personally asked for feedback later. It’s also decently priced for the food quality, hygiene etc - highly recommend. Will definitely visit again.
