We, as family, went for lunch to Palates for the first time to celebrate my son's birthday. We ordered à la carte. The chicken gravy dish was amazing with a roti tokri. The mutton biryani has the juiciest mutton pieces with minimum bones as opposed to many other restaurants we have visited. The experience was awesome. We had read reviews about their buffet. On inquiry what we learned was that they offer a lunch buffet only on Fridays and a dinner buffet only on Sundays, both for over ₹1000. What is offered daily is a breakfast buffet for around ₹500. The menu is extensive and is reasonably priced, compared to the quality and quantity served. All in all an excellent experience. And we have decided to frequent this restaurant more often in the future.

It was such a delightful experience with the most scrumptious food. The taste, texture, and flavor were simply incredible. The non veg appetizers were cooked to perfection. Here we ordered : - Tomato dhaniya Shorba- 4/5 - Cheese Aracini- 3.5/5 - Buffalo chicken mozzarella sticks- 5/5 - Honey Sriracha Chicken- 5/5 - Chilly burnt garlic chicken- 5/5 - Kalimirch Fry chicken- 4/5 - Panner papdi- 4/5 - Chicken Suthni- 3.5/5 - Smoked dhaba dal makhani- 3.5/5 - Baked cheese cake with berry filling- 5/5 - Tiramisu- 5/5 Not much attention paid to clicking pictures as we were enjoying the delicacies.

A wonderful restaurant that dishes out scrumptious food with unabated consistency. Everything from the taste, range, quality, pricing and ambience are perfect. The restaurant serves Indian, Chinese and Continental varieties whilst always preserving individual flavors efficiently. With the recent change of decor, the place exudes a vibrant vibe and comfort. The staff here is extremely courteous and takes care of customers well. Excellent place to go with family, friends or colleagues as well as for organizing get togethers. This restaurant is always a delight for sure!

We had a excellent dinner at the restaurant. The captain was very helpful and suggested very good dishes. The non- veg platter was very good also the paneer was very fresh and tasty. The canolini pasta was well prepared and was very good.

The ambience and service is good. The Sunday lunch buffet was reasonably good, the soup & starters were served hot and fresh. The spread of desserts was fairly good, gajar halwa and jalebis deserve special mention, but found the malai sandwich hard and maybe a bit stale. I did report about it to the staff. It took a while to get the assorted dessert platter to get refilled. Overall worth a try.

One of the best hotel's in Thane. Excellent and courteous staff. Tasty food. Special shout out to chef viswajeet for his 'Maggies chicken' preparation. One of the signature dishes for me here. I've been coming here since last 7-8 yrs. Satkar never disappoints! Edit: Dec 2025 : It pains me to write this as this has been my fav testaurant since last 20 yrs when shetty uncle used to personally greet his customers and have a brief chat with them while having dinner. Maybe the mgt has changed now. (Ref to my earlier review above) The captain told me that bao was not available as there was an engagement party and chef was busy there which was very disappointing. The LIIT was 80% ice! There was a baby cockroach on the sofa. when we ordered cheese cake, it took them 10-12 mins to inform that cheese cake is not available. In the takeway (crumb chicken) the sauce was not given. All of the above on a working tue night at 7:30 pm when only is and one other family was there. The management should look into this and not ignore their ala carte customers only because priority is given to the parties.

Pretty decent for a family meal. It has an old school vibe to it, like the huge restaurants you would go with elders just to sit and eat. Food: They have a pretty good variety of food to try from, mostly authentic Indian. Their Indian counterparts are far more tastier than the others. Must have: Their Indian based desserts!
