The 4 rating on Zomato makes me question the logic with which I should start viewing these ratings. I love this place and have always loved it. One of the few places standing the test of time. They do classics really well. I love my meat and proteins and have always had meat here so vegetarians may ignore this review:)

Ordered Duck fritters and Indian combo meal for the table. Food was really appetising and delicious. The place accepted us as a walk-in on a Saturday, which was a big relief. The bar made us a great cocktail. Loved the overall experience.

Tried their home made spinach fettuccini & it turned out to be the best pasta I’ve ever had.

Pali Village Cafe wins it with its intimate ambience and excellent Italian food. Their artichoke ravioli in rosa sauce and their aglio olio are truly excellent! They also serve an apple cinnamon mocktail that's so so good. Can't wax enough about the ambience - put short, it's perfect for date nights and great conversation. Interiors are really well done! The service is warm, friendly, and prompt. Zero complaints there. Overall, sans the pocket pinch, Pali Village Cafe is a perfect hangout place!

The service lets this place down badly. They’re very untrained, almost rustic. The waiter tried to clear my plate just as I was picking up the last appetiser on it and about to eat it. Reminiscent of Udupi-style service. The appetiser (Prawns with parsley) tasted like coriander which was disappointing. If they don’t distinguish between parsley and Chinese parsley/coriander they should just use the more common name so that you know what to expect. The pan-seared red snapper was good. The washroom is very cramped and dark and unpleasant. Then, when I came out of the women’s washroom (I assume, don’t know if it’s gender neutral) I found two other waiters (maybe they work for the Pali Bhavan section of the restaurant) lurking outside the door. Random and a bit creepy, but I ignored it. Then my sister had the same experience. She said one waiter was just outside the bathroom door while carrying a stack of dishes. Hopefully, they don’t carry those inside. Management ought to instruct them not to wait around any washroom areas because it’s just weird and off-putting.

Pali Village is one of my most favourite cafes in the city. But last night we were met with a very unpleasant experience. We were served chicken spaghetti and were informed of the same 15 mins after being served the dish. They casually told us that the pasta has chicken, it was the first day of navratri for my friend and she spent a very unpleasant evening after. Not just this, the server was about to make the same mistake a second time as well until the manager warned him that it's chicken yet again. The staff's reaction to this blunder was unprofessional and added to our frustration. He laughingly said oops and went to the kitchen in an attempt to get it right for the third time. Hate it that this experience leaves us with a sour taste even for our favourite restaurant.

I often visit this place to have their truffle risotto and the service is not bad. Today I visited with my friend and we ordered a few dishes. Table for two was pretty small and it was difficult to accommodate all the plates in one table so I politely asked the waiter if we can shift to another table as food might fall due to lack of space. The waiter replied “no, that’s table for 4”. I can clearly see that that’s table for 4 and I have been to many restaurants that accommodate 2 people on more occupancy table when there’s less crowd. There were 2-3 empty tables in the restaurant, they could have certainly accommodated us on the other table. We pay service charge, not to handle this inconvenience.

I went to Pali village cafe and asked for tea and wanted a extra tea bag to make it strong the server did not tell me that they are going to charge 400 for a extra tea bag when I told the manager he was highly rude very disappointed with their service and attitude. Just for the tea to be correct. I will never visit again
