We had an incredible dining experience at Pangat. As seafood lovers, we were excited to try their malwani specialties, and boy, were we impressed! The standout dishes for us were the Crab Soup, Crab Lollipop, Pomfret Thali, Crab Masala, Prawns Masala, and Solkadi. The Crab Soup was rich, flavorful, and packed with tender crab meat. The Crab Lollipop was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Pomfret Thali was a great value for money, with a generous serving of fresh pomfret. The Crab Masala and Prawns Masala were both outstanding, with rich flavors and perfectly cooked seafood. And don't even get me started on the Solkadi - it was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. If you're a seafood lover looking for authentic Malwani cuisine, this is the place to go!

The food was okayish. Starters were good, main course was below average honestly. The chicken fried rice was too bland. Mutton Dum Biryani tasted more like pulao though the mutton was tender and cooked to perfection. Chicken Malai Tikka and Paneer Tikka were really good. The service by the staff was prompt and people were polite. Despite the fact that there was too much of crowd being a Sunday evening, the service time was decent. Ambience is good. Good for families to come overall. However, you might have to wait for couple of hours over the weekend as it’s over packed. Will rate this place a solid 4/5 stars!

This is my 3rd visit to this restaurant. The food is really good, especially if you like Malvani non-veg cuisine. But the waiting time is a big downside. They usually say the wait is around 30 minutes, but it ends up being more than 1 to 1.5 hours. This happened during my earlier visits as well. The restaurant should give the actual waiting time to guests so there is less frustration later.

A seafood restaurant located in Borivli. To get a table booked, had to ask for reservation and wait for 25 mins. In the end, a table was reserved and got an outdoor seating. The seafood dishes were scrumptious & delicious. The ambience was average. The service was fine. Overall, a good place for seafood.

Pangat is one of those places you walk into with high expectations, especially given its reputation for Malvani thalis and coastal favourites. Having been regular patrons for many years, this place has held a certain nostalgic charm for us, which made our recent visits all the more noticeable in contrast. We sampled a fairly elaborate spread, including their Bombil Thali, Surmai Thali, Prawns Thali, Mandeli fry, along with add ons like the much talked about Crab Lollypop, Bheja Masala, Kalva Sukka, Chicken Potli Kebab, and also revisited dishes we have enjoyed in the past like the keema pattice, bombil fry, and mutton masala. While the menu continues to promise a seafood lover’s delight, the overall experience, unfortunately, felt average this time around. The Bombil and Surmai fry had the expected crispness, but lacked that depth of flavour and freshness that truly elevates coastal cuisine. The curries across thalis felt somewhat one dimensional, missing the robust, layered Malvani masala profile one associates with Pangat. Even the basics like chapatis and bhakris, which form the backbone of such meals, could be softer, fresher, and more refined. On a more specific note, the tisrya masala (dry) felt quite chewy, almost rubbery in texture, taking away from what is otherwise a delightful dish when done right. The solkadhi, too, seemed to miss that refreshing kokam forward tang we have experienced here earlier and elsewhere. That said, what truly stood out and deserves full credit was the service and hospitality. The staff handled everything with genuine warmth, attentiveness, and honesty. From guiding through the menu to ensuring timely service, their effort and intent were clearly heartfelt, and it did make a meaningful difference to the overall dining experience. Pangat certainly has the foundation of a great dining destination, and perhaps it is just a matter of revisiting the fundamentals. With a bit more attention to core elements like breads, curries, and flavour balance, it has every potential to regain the consistency and charm it was once known for. For now, a place that still offers variety, but one we hope will soon rediscover the flavours that made it special for us over the years.

My son had ordered ½chicken handi twice during 23rd and 28th December on Zomato. During week day it was OK but on Sunday they had put so called curry pieces after removing meat for boneless chicken. This was the stuff we get at ₹80/- per kg with chicken vendor at Eksar for which they are charging ₹600/-. Masala was very tasty but no meat, only bones and curry for ₹600/-. very upsetting experience.

worst service they only increase rate and fool you with small size fish don't visit.Even if you complain to waiter they reply rudely entire staff is rude. overall compared to quantity and quality this is a much expensive hotel with worst service so please don't visit
