Very disappointing experience at PizzaExpress, Oberoi Mall Had a really disappointing experience at PizzaExpress, Oberoi Mall. We ordered a Doppio Veggie Pizza, but the chef forgot to add the mushrooms. When we informed the staff, instead of preparing a fresh pizza, they simply added the mushrooms to the already baked pizza and baked it again. This was extremely disappointing and not what you expect from a reputed restaurant. I also asked the waiter for a pesto pasta recommendation. He recommended the Fettuccine Rosso, which turned out to be essentially a white-sauce pasta. When I pointed out that there was hardly any pesto flavour, I was told that there was only a “mild pesto” mixed into it. If a customer specifically asks for pesto pasta, the recommendation should actually reflect that. The service was equally frustrating. I had to ask three separate times for ice cubes, and when we finally asked for the bill, the staff brought us the wrong bill. Overall, the food and service were far below what I expected from PizzaExpress. The biggest issue was not just the mistakes, but the lack of attention to detail and the way they were handled. Definitely not the experience I expected, and I would think twice before visiting this outlet again.
