Had a wonderful dining experience at this beautiful 5-star hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was truly exceptional. The staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and made sure every detail was taken care of with a smile. The ambiance, the food, and the overall service were all top-notch, making the evening really special. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Tanmay & the entire team for making our dinner so memorable. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Excellent service by Tanmay Reloy and Tamarle for our family lunch party. While we booked for buffet they helped served the senior citizens. Anupam ans Swapnil the restaurent managers were very welcoming and hospitable

The buffet was good. However, I had asked them in particular for a complimentary cake on account of my parents' anniversary. They even agreed to do so. But the cake never came. See it's simple, you charge upwards of 1k as service charge, it's only natural that the customer would expect you to fulfill basic expectations.

Unpleasantly surprised by the quality of food at the buffet at Pondicherry Cafe. The spread was extensive, featuring Italian, Indian, Asian, and Oriental cuisines, but unfortunately the execution fell far short of expectations. We tried the pasta, which was more like soup, and the pizza, which was comparable to what you would find at a local street-side outlet. The Indian dishes were questionable, fish Pahadi was undercooked, the most basic dal chawal was terrible and had to be sent back. Several other dishes were disappointing. The Thai curry tasted stale, the biryani rice was burnt, the dal was excessively watery, and even the plain rice lacked seasoning. The sushi was poor and so were the dim sums. When I shared my feedback, I was informed that the à la carte menu offers better-quality food than the buffet and was offered an à la carte meal as compensation. While the gesture was appreciated, it was surprising to hear an acknowledgment that the buffet food is of a lower standard. It is concerning that the quality of the buffet does not appear to receive the same level of attention as the à la carte menu, and the feedback did not seem to be taken seriously enough. I hope the management at Sofitel reviews these issues and makes the necessary improvements, as the buffet experience currently does not match the expectations set by the venue.
