A must-visit place for two most authentic dishes - manglore buns and recently added patla poha chivda with black watana tarri. Bhisi bela bhat should be the next on your list. Ideal to have brunch on the "lazy Sunday"... The spice mixtures are home-made, which explains their unmatched freshness and unique taste. The menu card has been designed smartly - utmost clarity, no confusion when you see it. Cleanliness is the other glaring reality in Poornima. Overall a fulfilling experience! Thank you, team Poornima 🙏

This has to be one of our most memorable breakfast mornings ever. The simplicity of the place hides and adds to the stunning experience one can have at Poornima. Caring staff and truly traditional South Indian taste are what we experienced. The elderly gentleman was so prompt and caring that it would put some high profile restaurants to shame. The Idlis and Dosas were awesome to say the least..... Overall this is a must visit for anyone in South Mumbai and even from elsewhere.

In short it’s the best place for authentic South Indian food. Excellent Idli Sambhar … the best Sambhar in South Bombay. I have stopped going to Matunga since I visited this place. It’s my every Sunday breakfast venue.

It has become my permanent place. It's my aim to try each n everything on their menu. I am a fan of their Podi Idli, Bhajia and Masala Dosa. Hospitality is top notch and the atmosphere feels good & tidy.

Been going there for last 35 years. Taste and Only Taste. They run out of food by 5/6 pm. Don't make a mistake of ordering a delivery. Go or send someone. Zero ambiance minimum price maximum Taste

Not for leisurely dining. Excellent for a quick bite of delicious Dosas and fresh sambar and chutney. A cramped place. Self service. Table sharing. - These could turn off for some. I love the place.

Food is great, absolutely no complaints, but the service is disappointing. I ordered a Bisi Bele Bath parcel and was instead given a Neer Dosa. The person who took the order was insisting that I ordered a Neer Dosa. I asked him to keep the Neer Dosa with him and again ordered a Bisi Bele Bath this time with triple check. Taking a order wrong is one thing, but insisting that the customer is always wrong is another thing I was not asking for money refund. Just the acknowledgement that the order was taken wrong. It appears that the staff there can never be wrong. It’s only the customers like me. It’s only the good food that keeps it open, not the staff.

Rates are way to high given the atmosphere inside. Being a self-service place, it's very costly. One can spend the same amount per person in a much much better air-conditioned place

Decently good South Indian food - filter coffee, idlies, dosa, and Mangalore buns. Not too pricey and served fresh!

Called for an idli parcel. Kept giving false assurances that it is reaching my office within 5min etc. after over an hour i finally sent my errand boy to pick it up. If one must, try it to know how bad an idli can get. Sambhar was fine But how someone make a bad idli, these guys know for sure. It had a weird granular consistency which makes it quite unappetising. Also, informing your patrons that an order might take some time to reach them is just basic courtesy wouldve saved me an hours wait.
