We visited Pop Tate’s Borivali around 11:00 PM as a group of six and initially ordered Hoegaarden beer. When we asked for a second round, we were informed that it was suddenly out of stock, so we switched brands. At around 11:50 PM, the waiter asked us to place a “last order,” which had not been communicated earlier—even though the restaurant indicates it is open until 1:00 AM. We confirmed with the staff that we would be allowed to finish our drinks by then, and they agreed. However, within 10 minutes, the experience took a turn. The AC and TV were switched off, and cleaning staff began sweeping and mopping the floor around us while we were still seated. When we requested the AC to be turned back on, we were shown that it was still running—but only in the section where the staff themselves were seated and having dinner. The manager stepped in with an apology, but it was clear he was also overseeing the early shutdown. We have visited this chain many times expecting consistent quality and service, but this visit was disappointing. The handling of guests, lack of communication, and premature closure created a very poor experience.

The vibe was great! Service was good! Staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was bad.. like it was very bland and Infact it felt some ingredients in food were expired because the taste and smell was pungent, like olives in the pasta. My stomach hurt the next day. I will not visit again because I didn’t like the food. You have made such a great place, but if you compromise in food, it’s all waste.
