10/10 experience at Portal! These days, it's rare to find a new restaurant in Mumbai that truly impresses. So many places serve food that's just okay & expensive, with tiny portions and nothing particularly memorable. Visited Portal on Father's Day and was genuinely blown away. The portions were generous, the quality of the produce was outstanding, and every dish felt thoughtfully executed. Add to that great music, fantastic vibes, and some of the best service we've experienced in a long time. A refreshing addition to Mumbai's dining scene. We need more restaurants like this. Where quality, hospitality, and value all come together. 10/10. Highly recommended.

Very rarely do my thumbs twaddle to write a review for any restaurant but the food here pumped the blood flow in the right directions. Kudos to Vishal our server for taking us on a superb gastronomic journey here. Starting with the picante it was delish, the starters with the fries and Norwegian cheese waffle was delightful the ravas fish was the winner for me - delectable combo of miso gravy on top and garlic garnish the biscoff brownie at the end was heaven (and I don’t even have a sweet tooth) 10/ 10 no notes. Will be back.

The seating we were given with a reservation was not good. High chairs and tiny tables. Two of us had some orthopaedic issues and we expected the sofa seating which was at the back. They didn't allow us to change our seating. The food was very good. The portions were generous. As we were leaving the music got too loud.

Excellent food, great drinks, and outstanding service. Every dish was flavorful, the cocktails were superb, and the staff was warm, attentive, and professional. A fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommended! 10/10 food

Had a great experience at Portal, Kala Ghoda on a packed Friday night. Despite having to wait a bit even with a reservation, the owner was kind enough to offer us complimentary cocktails, which was a lovely touch. We started with the cocktails — the Fizz & Fresco was refreshing and unique, but the Art School Dropout completely stole the show for me. Such a creative and delicious drink. For food, the Charred Pork was very tender though the flavour was just okay. The Crab Super Roll was rich, buttery and easily one of our favourites. The Chicken Supreme was a good, juicy steak with mashed potatoes and veggies on the side. Desserts were excellent — the Carrot Cake with frosting was perfect, and the Tiramisu Pannacotta was refreshing and ideal for coffee lovers. Even though the place was packed, the food arrived in good time and the staff was polite and efficient throughout. Overall, a really good dining experience with great hospitality.

The food was great- especially the smashed buratta and the miso spaghetti The ice cream sundae was a complete let down- nothing innovative- something that could have been made at home. The service was inconsistent- sometimes efficient and sometimes too slow (especially for the simpler items) The lighting is low- you actually need a torch to read the menu- the abbreviations at the bottom of the page are also too tiny to read- a feat to achieve in low lighting

We thought we would try a new place and hence came here - despite not having any reviews. The place is obviously very new and some of the teething problems exist which is ok and we aren't complaining. Food - was very good. Small portions for the tapas but tasty. Now comes the bad part - the service. zero attentiveness. the owners and the staff both chatting amongst themselves and nobody paying heed to paying customers. Looked and felt like it's a small place started by wealthy people to entertain their own - because if this behavior continues, they will be left doing just that. we got there by 7.30 and finished eating by about 9.30. we were just done and suddenly without us asking a bill was presented to us - with not so much as a "would you like something else". anyway, we paid and a few of us were using the facilities while others waited. That was when we were very rudely asked to vacate the table (we would've sat for max 5 mins more till everyone was back). we thought maybe there was a lot of waiting - but it was deserted outside. and it was just 9.30-9.45 pm. Really poor service and no class for the amount of money they charge.

We had the worst possible experience at Portal on Sunday evening. We visited the place at around 7:30 pm. The restaurant was almost empty at the time but still, no one was available to welcome us. There were barely 2 tables occupied when on Sundays restaurants fill up real quick. We walked in and took a table ourselves as no one came to assist us. In a while, we were given a menu and we began ordering. Once we ordered the food, after 15mins, the manager finally came up to us and decided to ask us whether we had booked a table before our arrival. We said we hadn't booked a table. The place was almost empty so we never imagined there would be an issue. The manager asked us to get up and take a seat in the back or at their bar (which wasn't comfortable for us) as we didn't do a prior booking and apparently the table was already reserved. We were astonished as how could you ask your guest to get up after being in the establishment for around 20minutes and shift tables when you weren't there to assist them in the first place!? If you want to reserve tables and not allow walk in guests to sit at them (even after having an empty restaurant on Sunday evenings), atleast put up a board on the table to show it's reserved how every other restaurant would. We were extremely disappointed with this high and mighty behaviour and walked off without eating anything here. This is our first and last time in this restaurant and I can assure you, the manager doesn't care. Pathetic experience. One should only visit here if you want to ruin your Sunday evening.

I showed up before time, waiting an extra few minutes and never got place. They offered the table to people who showed up much later. Really disappointing
