I usually write reviews when I truly like a place, but I felt the need to share this experience because my stomach was upset after eating here, which is concerning. I visited this restaurant expecting authentic Ratnagiri/Konkan food, especially given the name and the 4-star rating. Unfortunately, the food did not meet those expectations at all. I ordered a fish thali, but there was nothing about it that reflected true Konkan or Ratnagiri cuisine. The fish fry was bland, not properly marinated, and lacked basic flavor. I had to add salt, pepper, and lime myself just to make it edible. Authentic Konkan fish fry is known for its seasoning and marinade, which was completely missing here. The fish curry was a simple onion-based gravy with no depth—no kokum, no tamarind, no spice, and not even the correct color of a traditional fish curry. The thali included bhakri, rice, fish fry, fish curry, sol curry, and a dry fish preparation. Except for the dry item, nothing tasted authentic or satisfying. I also ordered chicken sukka, which is supposed to be dry and at least mildly spicy. What was served was more like a regular chicken curry with gravy, not dry at all, and completely lacking spice and flavor. It did not resemble chicken sukka in any way. I had high expectations, but the food was nowhere near what one would expect from a place claiming to serve Ratnagiri or Konkan cuisine. This food does not represent Konkan food, not even remotely. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and due to both the quality of the food and the health issue afterward, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely crass service, pathetic mentality of the manager and servers. Disappointing Experience The manager's attitude was particularly concerning. They seemed dismissive and uninterested in addressing our concerns. The servers were also slow to respond and lacked attentiveness. Given the expectations, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism displayed.

came to ratnagiri as I had heard a lot about this place. ordered a pomfret thali, a standard sea food item so I thought it's the safest option. I couldn't have been more wrong. worst gravy I have tried till date couldn't even dare to eat the fish from it. when asked why does it taste so weird they called it a malvani style gravy which is more shocking as my family belongs to malvan and we have never tried such a shitty gravy. even the is fish fry ducked idk how can someone go wrong with fish fry, cucking basic. NEVER VISITING THIS PLACE AGAIN. wouldn't recommend this place. I'm puzzled on how the duck has this place been functioning since so long. If you're ever starving and stumble across this place, do yourself a favor and keep walking. Hunger pains are kinder than whatever they’re serving here.

Ratnagiri restaurant is located near the Riddhi Gardens area at a junction of Film City road. Must try there Thalis - it's Authentic Maharashtrian one. They also serve alcohols and their specialty in food is fish dishes and the Thalis. They have normal as well as AC seating options. The unique thing about seating is both these rooms are divided by wall which is made up of a huge fish tank. This elevates the overall dining experience. Even though this is Restaurant plus bar it makes for a decent family dining experience. They do have some waiting time during weekends, however its definitely worth the wait.

I visited RATNAGIRI NX for dinning today the food was not at all tasty, surmai fry was pathetic lots of masala, the mutton masala again not that great wow factor. The rice भाकरी was so dry it tasted as if it was stale. The cook does not know how to make bhakri. Overall my visit was a disappointment infact I would recommend satkar near goregaon Station.

Very good staff .. Riddhi was very helpful ..must visit place .. lovely food .. enjoyed a lot .. we will visit again .. there all items were tasty ..

Quality is good here. You can surely order malwani food. Ambience is also very nice. Ordered pomplet gravy, gave 3 good pieces which are shown in the pic. Only problem is they charge alot compared to quantity and others here. You gotta pay for the ambience right, lol! However anything you order here may it be Chinese or Malwani food taste is good. Have had chicken fried rice as well. I like it only from this place as it's not oily and good taste. Also any non veg thali is good.

Place is good but they can really work with the taste of malvani food beacuse itsays it's their speciality, but trust malvani food doesn't not taste that bad like how it tastes In this restaurant. Yes a thumbs up for sea food prawams fry and surmai fry I had was nice. But big no too malvani food. I would not suggest this place.
