If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience, Robata Kurraku is definitely worth checking out! The moment you step in, you get that pure Japanese restaurant vibe, and the attention to detail is genuinely impressive. The standards they’re maintaining are next level, and the food absolutely lives up to it. Every dish we tried was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. We started with the Chicken Yakitori, which was juicy, flavourful and perfectly grilled. The Teppan Gyoza (Grilled Chicken Dumpling) was another favourite — crispy on the outside and deliciously filling. The Crunchy Ebi Roll (Crunchy Prawn Fries Roll) was such a fun and flavourful take on sushi, while the Katsu Curry & Rice was comforting, hearty and absolutely delicious. For drinks, the Frozen Kiwi Soda was super refreshing, and the Citrus Sunrise, with smooth cold brew layered with orange juice, was unique and surprisingly refreshing. Overall, Robata Kurraku nails the food, ambience, presentation and authentic Japanese experience. You can really see the effort that goes into maintaining their standards. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine!

If you’re looking for a Japanese dining experience beyond sushi and ramen, Robata Kuuraku is worth checking out. With its lively Japanese-inspired setup, it genuinely feels like a little slice of Japan. Here’s what we tried: Crunchy Ebi Roll (Recommended) Tempura prawn sushi roll with a crunchy exterior, juicy prawns and balanced flavours. Teppan Ebi Gyoza Grilled prawn and chicken dumplings with generous, flavourful fillings. Tori Staminayaki Tender grilled chicken tossed in a garlicky sauce. Simple, comforting and flavourful. Chicken Miso Ramen Chicken miso ramen with sliced chicken and a warm broth. The flavours were a bit light, but still made for a comforting bowl. Yukimi Daifuku – Kurogoma Black sesame ice cream wrapped in soft mochi, giving you a creamy and chewy finish. Mango Soda We won their Rock Paper Scissors session and got our medium mango soda upgraded to a large! 😂 Refreshing, fruity and perfect with the meal. Vietnamese Iced Coffee was also rich.

The staff greeted everyone together in Japanese when we entered. It was such a nice touch and instantly gave the place a very Japanese feel. The ambience was warm and cosy, with beautiful interiors, soft lighting and lots of little details. We tried quite a few vegetarian dishes and the presentation of every dish was amazing. The Veg Mumbai Roll Sushi with asparagus, mushroom and cream cheese was unusual but really nice. The Veg Teppan Gyoza had a great grilled texture and is something I’d definitely order again. For mains, I obviously had to try the Veg Spicy Miso Ramen, comforting, flavourful and with a good spicy kick. The Yaki Onigiri, grilled rice ball with cheese, was simple but really satisfying. The showstopper was definitely the Yukimi Daifuku – Kurogoma. Black sesame ice cream wrapped in mochi. The slightly earthy sesame flavour with the soft mochi was SO good, and the presentation with the snowfall effect was honestly mind-blowing!

Had a really enjoyable dining experience at Robata Kuuraku, Lower Parel! Tried quite a few dishes and everything was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. The Chicken Yakitori Set and Teppan Gyoza were delicious, while the Mumbai Roll and Kuraku Ramen Special were the highlights for me. The Corn Tempura was crispy and tasty, and the Yukimi Daifuku was a lovely way to finish the meal. Also enjoyed the Virgin Matcha Mojito and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Overall, a great Japanese dining experience with a nice ambience and a good variety of dishes. Definitely worth trying!
