The iconic Shalimar Restaurant at Bhindi Bazaar has added Continental delicacies to their regular menu admired & treasured since 1970s. The continental delicacies we tried were at par with any lifestyle hotels in terms of presentation and taste. Existing menu dishes are the testimony of food evoked nostalgia engaging multiple senses and generations. Desserts are sinfully luscious worth the calorie splurge. Visit to Shalimar is incomplete without enjoying their world famous FALOODA. We tried : ✨Pomodoro Risotto ✨Lemon Pepper Grilled Fish Steak ✨Chicken kung Pao ✨Mutton Dilruba ✨Dal Gosht ✨Kadai Gosht ✨Baklava A must visit place to Re-Live and celebrate those nostalgic moments again, with the loved ones.

I recently ordered a sandwich and fries from Shalimar Restaurant, and it was a surprisingly delightful experience. The sandwich was perfectly toasted, generously filled, and oozing with cheese — every bite had a great balance of flavor and texture. The fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and served hot, just the way they should be. For a place known more for its traditional dishes, this quick snack combo truly impressed me. Definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for something simple yet satisfying!

This restaurant has been a favorite of mine since childhood, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, but what really stands out is the outstanding service. A special thanks to Mr. Rahmatulla, who was exceptionally helpful and gave us some wonderful suggestions. The entire staff is great—everyone was welcoming and kind. I highly recommend visiting!"

Whenever I pass by the area, I make it a point to stop by the restaurant for a falooda. The taste is just right, with the perfect sweetness and a good balance of syrups. I really enjoy it! I've also tried their Mughlai food, which is decent and satisfying.

Shalimar Restaurant: Quantity Left Me Hungry, Falooda Left Me Disgusted My recent experience at Shalimar Restaurant was deeply disappointing, to say the least. While the ambiance might have a certain nostalgic charm, the food itself failed spectacularly on two crucial fronts: quantity and quality, specifically their atrocious falooda. Let's start with the portions. For the prices they charge, the amount of food served was frankly insulting. We ordered a couple of main dishes, expecting a satisfying meal, but were met with plates that looked more like appetizers. The curries barely covered the bottom of the bowl, and the accompanying rice portion felt meager. We left the restaurant feeling significantly hungrier than when we arrived, which is hardly the goal of dining out. It felt like they were cutting corners at the expense of customer satisfaction. However, the absolute low point of the meal was undoubtedly the falooda. What arrived at our table was a far cry from the refreshing and delightful dessert it's supposed to be. The seviyan (vermicelli) were clumpy and tasted stale. The rose syrup was artificial and overwhelmingly sweet, masking any other potential flavors. The basil seeds were slimy and lacked any pleasant texture. And the ice cream, if that's what it was, tasted cheap and icy. It was a truly unpleasant concoction, and honestly, one of the worst faloodas I have ever had the misfortune of tasting. It felt like they had thrown random ingredients together without any care or attention to detail. Overall, my experience at Shalimar Restaurant was highly unsatisfactory. The stingy portion sizes left us feeling ripped off, and the utterly dreadful falooda was an insult to the palate. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a fulfilling and enjoyable meal to steer clear of this establishment. There are far better options available that offer both quality and value for your money. Save your appetite and your money – Shalimar is not worth it.

Worst restaurant experience ever. Absolutely shameful. Visited Shalimar with my wife and kids expecting a normal family outing—but what we got was pure humiliation. First, they kept sending us from one AC section to another like we were being bounced around. No coordination, no respect for customers’ time. Then after finally settling down, we were told to wait for service… and were completely ignored. The most disgusting part? A family that came after us was immediately attended to while we sat there like we didn’t exist. When I tried to call the waiter, he literally shushed us. Yes—SHUSHED a customer. This wasn’t bad service. This felt like straight-up discrimination and disrespect based on appearance. We walked out feeling insulted. Later I checked reviews—turns out many people have complained about the same rude behavior. Clearly, this is how they treat customers. Food doesn’t matter when basic human decency is missing. Avoid this place at all costs. Don’t take your family here unless you’re okay being disrespected.

Shalimar was known for its falooda, but it was a disappointment. We use to specially go for falooda, but now the quality is deteriorated. The roadside falooda tasted better. Service even worst. Ashamed of taking my family who came from abroad.
