Great Experience at Shamiyana for a Dinner with my partner, nice spread of Desserts , food was normal as I had in many good restaurants but Hospitality was top notch and a top notch Service and Hospitality i think only Taj can provide, I vl visit very soon and expect the same 5 star service and ofcourse a Cup of Tea also as I n my wife are Tea Lovers and Having a Tea n Dinner is an EXPERIENCE not to forget. Taj as Name has Maintained its Richness. It was a Paisa Vasool Experience as I say to my Clients for my MAGIC SHOWS , the same i experienced the Magic of Taj . will visit very soon

We have been here for coffee and snacks, we were very impressed by the ambience and also the selection of menu they have! special mention to Pujan, who was way out of league!!

Please avoid if you want variety and warm food. Totally disappointed , I was expecting a Royal feel at Taj palace , but alas , the starters served were cold and presented with no grace , the variety was limited too . The chefs need to go around other Five star hotel to see how awesome the presentation and multi cuisines are being served with warmth and variety of Flavours at the Buffets.

Honestly our experience was not great. We went to this restaurant to celebrate a big milestone of my father in law, expecting excellent food and service based on the prices and Taj’s name. However, we were thoroughly disappointed. The food we ordered was cold, tasteless and the service was very slow. Didn’t expect this from Taj hotels. When we are spending so much money on the food, we expect at least a decent food palette and good service from the staff. We ordered Ajwaini Chicken which was the worst - cold, tasteless and would pay a penny for it. We should have left after eating the starter itself but since we waited for 20-30 mins to be served we were quite famished, hence stayed on - big mistake! Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. We left highly disappointed, our special day was ruined.

After a breezy ferry around Gateway, I wanted to have a really good coffee and my brother in law have never been inside Taj, so we decided to visit Shamiana instead of Araku which is closer to Taj. We ordered coffee, one mocktail and a masala tea to begin with. The coffee was legit straight from coffee machine installed in every office. Mocktail had straight Real cranberry juice with slice of lemon and coriander. The easiest way to judge any place is how good they serve you a basic stuff like tea/coffee. Good we didn’t order any food.

Writing this while sitting here cause of how disappointed we are with the food. The Vietnamese pho was just water and 3 noodles. The Thai curry had haldi and it tasted disgusting. The jasmine rice was cold, salt-less and inspite of telling them, they just took it back to the kitchen and brought it back. Kudos on the effort! The choke kulcha was the only edible thing. The draught beer was flat. Can’t believe this is a five star

Overhyped. Service was pathetic. It feels like the servers are not interested in giving diners a memorable experience. Either start charging regular restaurant rates or match up your service to the price you charge. Diners here aren't charity case, we are paying full menu prices.

Not good, service is pathetic and servers are not good as well, and the price is also not justifiable, I understand it’s 5 star but we should get something in return which justifies the price, taste is also not that good.

The experience was underwhelming . It was the most average cold coffee i have had.
