Shelter Cafe has easily become my new favourite spot to hang out with friends — it’s one of those places where you walk in and instantly feel like slowing down and staying a little longer. The ambiance is a perfect blend of cozy and aesthetic, with warm lighting, earthy tones, and a laid-back vibe that makes it ideal for both long conversations and relaxed solo time. Coming to the food — everything I tried felt thoughtfully made and full of flavour: • The Strawberry Matcha was refreshing and beautifully balanced, not overly sweet, with that subtle earthy matcha kick. • The Java Chip Frappe was indulgent and rich, perfect if you’re in the mood for something comforting. • The Mediterranean Hummus Bowl was wholesome and satisfying — fresh, vibrant, and packed with textures. • The Ghee Podi Fries were an absolute standout — crispy, flavourful, and that podi spice hit just right. • The Sundried Tomato Burrata Pizza was deliciously creamy with a tangy twist from the tomatoes — easily one of the best things on the table. • And to end it all, the Vegan Chocolate Cake was surprisingly decadent — moist, rich, and something you wouldn’t guess was vegan. All in all, it’s the kind of place that gets everything right — good food, great vibe, and a space you actually want to come back to. Definitely going to be a regular here 🤍

Some café meals instantly give you FOMO, and Shelter X Javaphile was exactly that for me. We started with the Tiger Point Corn Fritters, which were crisp, comforting, and easily one of my favourite dishes of the meal. The Korean Cauli Poppers were addictive and packed with flavour, while the Bambai Burger stood out because of the beetroot addition that elevated the entire experience. The Mediterranean Hummus Bowl was fresh, wholesome, and beautifully done with spinach hummus, beetroot hummus, classic hummus, fresh pita bread, lavash, sautéed vegetables, and falafels. And I have to say this — the breads here are unreal. Whether it was the burger bun or the pita bread, some of the softest breads I’ve had in Bombay. The Tropical Mango Cloud and Java Chip Frappe were both delicious, and we ended the meal with the indulgent Caramel Cloud Toast, which was soft, sweet, and the perfect ending. Comforting food, lovely vibe, and a café you’ll definitely want to revisit.

This was on my bucket list since long and finally I visited shelter cafe 🍽️ loved the service, it was quick and smooth! Also their menu has some really good options to select from and I honestly wanted to try so much more! Definitely worth visiting again and also loved the location which was the cherry on top. It is quiet and peaceful 😌 and has a good ambience too. Also hope they do add sweet potato fries on their menu which I’m sure would become a favourite especially for the people who want to eat healthy and tasty 🤩

Had a great experience at Shelter X Javaphile, Bandra. The ambience is warm, cozy, and perfect for a relaxed meal or catching up with friends. We tried the Mango Mocktails, Chicken Tinga Pizza, Hot Chick Burger, and Kimchi Fried Rice, and everything was well-presented and flavorful. The pizza was definitely a highlight. The overall vibe of the place really adds to the experience, making it a spot you’d want to spend time at rather than just grab a quick bite. Looking forward to visiting again!

Visited Shelter x Javaphile in Bandra and it’s honestly one of those spaces you instantly feel at ease in. The interiors are calm, minimal, and thoughtfully designed very spacious with natural light. Every corner feels intentional without being overwhelming. Overall, it’s the kind of place you go to unwind, enjoy good food, sip on great coffee, and just slow down for a bit. Definitely a spot I’d keep going back to.

Their coffee is one of the best. If you love bitter coffees, then you need not look any further than Shelter cafe at Bandra. Their ambience? One of the best. You can spend hours and you wouldn’t even realise how time passes at this place. Can keep coming back for their coffee, food and ambience. Their service is excellent too. We ordered cappuccino, flat white, cheesecake brownie and idli benedict. All were top notch!

Used to love coming to Shelter. Now they have a no laptop no ipad no study policy on weekends. Even if you volunteer that you will shut your laptop if theres a guest waiting, they dont care. Basically, they dont want you spending even a minute longer here than you need to finish your food. Nobody cares about experience anymore- eat and leave. But the worst part is Rishi- he seems to have an attitude that will take this place down. Even if you’re speaking to him politely and with a smile, he seems to have some arrogance and needs serious training in customer communication.

Very poor crowd handling and service. We were asked to wait for a table for a while by Rishi. On pointing out a table that was almost vacated by a group which was about to leave, Rishi did not seat us and did not even ask the group to vacate the table for new customers. The food and beverage service was also criminally slow and waiters were less than alert. I had to get up 3 times to go talk to a waiter. This will definitely be our last visit to this place. Staff needs to be trained well to handle customers better.
