I’ve been to this cafe for the first time, it was so spacious, so aesthetic and so pretty. It’s very rare to see open spaces and roof tops in Mumbai. The food was also great and the team was kind, service was also good :) i loved the citrus cold brew, so refreshing.

The coffee was excellent. We tried the pain au chocolat, which was fluffy and perfectly airy. Raju, our host, was highly attentive and served us with ease. Great experience!

Shelter Café felt like the kind of place you settle into rather than just stop by for a quick meal. We ordered a little bit of everything—breakfast, coffee, and dessert—because the menu made it hard to choose just one thing. Food ⭐ Turkish Eggs – 4/5: Rich, creamy, and a nice change from the usual breakfast options. ⭐ Hen-Taai Sandwich – 4.5/5: Fresh, flavourful, and easily one of our favourites from the menu. ⭐ Tiramisù French Toast – 5/5: Soft, indulgent, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. Drinks ☕ Cappuccino – 4/5: Smooth with a well-balanced flavour. ☕ Americano – 4/5: Clean, bold, and exactly what you’d expect from a good specialty café. Ambience The ambience (4/5) is warm and relaxed, making it a great place to unwind. The location (4.5/5) is also convenient if you’re exploring Versova. 📍We’ve also shared a cinematic reel of our experience on Instagram @mono_modernnomads if you’d like to see the café before your visit.

nice place, basic menu, ok food and drink.... but the valet behaviour was a deal breaker.... imagine you don't avail of the valet service, park on your own, refuse his offer of help 4 times, and yet he forcefully accosts you till your vehicle and insists on opening your door.... short of begging for an undeserved tip, he did everything to make me uncomfortable, and even a bit unsafe.

A special mention to the manager for being incredibly kind, warm and understanding. It’s rare to come across people who genuinely care about making your experience better The food was absolutely lovely too

Definitely a cozy place with a nice vibe. The food was genuinely impressive, especially the pizza, easily the highlight of the meal. Everything we tried tasted great. That said, the service really brought the experience down a bit. The staff seemed quite unattentive and not very well-informed about the menu. Even basic recommendations or questions about dishes required constant cross-checking, which made things feel a little disconnected. Service overall was also pretty slow. Towards the end, the place also started feeling noticeably warm and slightly uncomfortable. So while the food absolutely delivered, the overall experience felt more average.

I ordered a Vietnamese coffee here and there was a fly in my coffee. Literally so disgusted. While I was stirring it luckily I pulled out my straw and saw the fly. Their staff is so pathetic that they just offered a drink replacement with a straight face like absolutely nothing happened. They don’t even have the courtesy to apologise which was appalling. They treated it like nothing happened. Beyond disgusting!! 🤮 Never coming again. Think twice.

The service was very slow, we waited for 30 mins for our food and in the end the buratta root salad had hair in it. They charged us a service fee inspite of the mishap, we had to expressly ask them to remove the fee. Won’t come again. Horrible experience.
