Shelter x coffee by javaphile is a stunning, three-story oasis in Versova that feels like a Mediterranean escape. With its earthy tones, library-clad walls, and sun-drenched corners, it is easily one of Mumbai’s most beautiful spots for brunch and work. Food highlights • Sundried Tomato Burrata Pizza: Luxuriously creamy; the tangy tomatoes make every bite pop. • Avocado Toast: Fresh, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned—a must-order. • Spaghetti Pesto: A bright, herbaceous classic that’s light yet satisfying. • Vegan Chocolate Cake: Surprisingly rich and moist; a win for both vegans and dairy-lovers. The Sips The Iced Sea-Salt Mocha offers a sophisticated, salty-sweet balance, while the Hazelnut Frappe is the ultimate thick, nutty indulgence for a warm afternoon. Service A special shoutout to Preeti, who looked after us during our visit. She was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and gave us great recommendations that made our meal even better

I went to one of the prettiest cafes in the city called Shelter so let me rate everything I ate. The Sea Salt Iced Mocha was good but I wish the contrast of salt and coffee would have been more prominent. 7/10. The Truffle Fries were very good. I loved the dip along with it. 9/10. The Peso Spaghetti was perfect and the burrata went well with it too but charging 900 for this was too much. 9/10. The Korean Fried Chicken Burger was also good enough but it’d be better to have this at a burger place only. 8/10. Our bill was 2615 rupees so it’s definitely pricey but overall Shelter is extremely pretty with great service and vibes. The next time I visit, it’ll be mostly for the ambience and long conversations and not just food. Follow me for more such reviews!

Simple cute cafe but their wifi doesn’t work most of the times and they have zero signals so becomes an issue. Food and coffee are good.

Food and beverages wise, we love Shelter cafe. I’ve been to their Bandra outlet. But the one at Versova disappointed for one reason - furniture. Yes, the furniture and seating at this outlet is so uncomfortable that you can’t think of spending hours here. All the tables and chairs are heavy which means you can’t move them easily. Plus it’s so uneasy to sit on the chairs. We changed atleast 3 tables owing to the inconvenience. For those willing to spend their time at leisure, their Bandra outlet is definitely worth going to. I wish they really do some changes with the furniture at the Versova outlet.
