Today, I will concentrate my review on the restaurant at 264, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Road, Sardar Awtar Singh Bedi Chowk, Near GPO, Mumbai-400001. The restaurant serves authentic veg and non-veg fare, making concessions for the propensity of localites to eat more spicy food. I.e the food here spicier than up north in Punjab and Delhi. The service is attentive. The place is brightly lit and clean. With a main, sunk and mezzanine sections there is adequate seating for maybe 75-100 people across 25+ tables. We ordered butter chicken - the gold standard of Punjabi cuisine with butter rotis and dal fry. We were at pains to specify that we wanted non-spicy food as we had a 5-yr old with us. The waiter attending on us was apologetic. He clarified that the base gravy is pre-prepared. But he assured us that he would ensure that no further spice would be added. Authentic butter chicken leans on the sweeter side in its native place. As the name suggests its rich in butter. At sher-e-Punjab this dish has been interpreted as a spicy variant keeping local preferences in mind. Notwithstanding the concessions made to the local palate, the food was good and served piping hot. Jal jeera (a spicy digestive drink) in small glasses were served complimentary with the meal. We finished the meal with Rabri and Gulab Jamun- the desserts are apparently house specialities. A meal for three as described cost us abt Rs 2000 inc GST and a tip of Rs 50 for the waiter. Worth a visit..Thank you for reading..Do follow if you read this much..

Just entered the place. Staffs really courteous. And Very Accomadative. The place looks comfortable. Ambience is well not intimidating. The decor has a 90's charm. The food, well was exceptionally good. The crispy okra (bhindi) and Moving Dal Khichdi (Lentil+Rice) was sumtious and Portions were above Decent. My verdict is if you are in this part of the town. This place is a no-brainer.

Been to this place on my birthday with my family. The ambience is quite good and the staff is very helpful. So we tried the following food items : > Chicken Banjara 🍗: The waiter recommended us as this dish was the best seller there. We gave it a shot and guess what it was very bad, the chicken was chewy, the marination wasn't that great. I suggest to go for other starters. Rating - 3/5 > Chicken Angara and Naan - This dish was okish but not that great honestly. The gravy was pretty good but it had less chunks of chicken. Rating - 4.5/5 Overall, the ambience is peaceful and the decor is pretty good. A good place for Dine -in. #GiveItaShot.

Ambience - 4/5 Food - 5/5 One of the best restaurants to have non-veg from (especially chicken). We had Tawa chicken and handi paneer. The Tawa chicken is one of their specialities and it lives up to the hype and i have to say its mouth watering. The handi paneer is also great. The service could me improved a bit as it is slow.

Only the staff behaviour gets any stars, rest the food was bland, they call themselves Sher e Punjab, i thought we would taste authentic north indian food but was all bland foreign taste. The washroom disgusting, way over priced and quantity so less

Food is really bland, visited cuz it was on our way. Wash room are super disaster if u go there u might vomit. Owners need to do something about this ,they become casual over the years. Staff n their supervisor was excellent and polite.
