Today, I visited Tavaa Restaurant, Bandra's most iconic and historical dining spot. The restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor seating with a simple, traditional ambiance. Specializing in Tava cuisine, they excel in North Indian and Mughlai dishes. For starters, I savored the Chicken Tikka and Mutton Seekh, followed by Chicken Bhuna and Mutton Bhuna with Tandoori Roti for the main course. I washed it down with a refreshing Fresh Lime Soda and indulged in sweet ending of my dinner with Arabian Pudding and Caramel Custard for dessert. Their Ramadan package offers iftar boxes at pocket-friendly prices, ranging from ₹500 to ₹6000, making it a must-order during this holy month. The service, led by Mr. Samad & Abdullah, was exceptional, and the owner, Mr. Farooq, exuded humility and friendliness. Overall, it was a superb dining experience that comes highly recommended, must visit with friends & family.

The dining experience at this restaurant was a delightful journey through flavors. The Tava Pulao was a symphony of aromatic spices, perfectly blending with the fragrant Basmati rice. Food served was in good quantity. The Chicken Bhuna Rice showcased a rich and robust curry, complementing the tender chicken and fluffy rice. The Naan was impeccably soft, serving as an ideal vessel to scoop up the delectable gravies. The surprise star was the Veg Chicken Koliwada, a unique and flavorful creation that left a lasting impression. Starters were also mouth watering. Overall, a culinary adventure worth savoring.

Visited this 40 year old place recently and since it’s Ramzan time we thought of trying Ramzan specials 😍 We loved the Shami Kebab, Kalmi Kebab, Chicken Roll & Fruit Salad with icecream. Ambience is decent, staff is helpful.

The food was very average and didn't justify the cost. paneer tikka roll was tasteless. staff also switched off the ac which is pretty terrible in this heat

Visited Tawaa for dinner, after probably a decade. There were just two of us sitting in the entire resturant, rest of the tables completely unoccupied. Ordered a Reshmi Tikka roll and was shocked at how tiny it was. I don't recall being served such a small meal before. The bill? Rs 284 I had a chat with the owner after that explaining to him that the portions were very small for the pricing. He refused to listen, and didn't seem to be bothered with any feedback. The portion at this place is exactly half compared to the roll at Sigdi's, Bandra. I left the now empty place and went home to eat some dry fruit to kill my hunger. I'm actually one of the smaller eaters in my friend circle, so you can imagine what a joke the quantity was. All in all, was hoping to enjoy a meal at the 'always empty' Tavaa, but went away understanding why it is so unpopular. I've been told the food has gone really bad over the years, but today I left feeling like I've been ripped off.

The entry of any guest is not that important to the staff. very pathetic service. they don't even care to see if guest need anything. Food was not that good as it was some decades ago. I had been here in the 90's and I thought it was a happening place. but I was very disappointed with food as well as service. I don't recommend this place to anyone who really with family.
