I visited the restaurant after 5 years today and the food was amazing as always. The dishes were warm and wholesome. Our server, Kunal, was extremely helpful, guiding us through the menu and explained the different dishes, sides, and ideal portions. Its a quiet place and perfect for a late dinner or just a hearty meal if you miss home.

The food was amazing. Authentic Bengali cuisine that I was so craving for was satisfied here! You can come here and have great food along with some good old classic Bengali music! Will definitely visit again

Went for a meal to The Calcutta Club after many years. This place used to be a top of the list eateries for me. Many folks has mentioned the quality has degraded but I had to try it out for myself to believe it. we ordered fish chop, beguni, kochuri and cholar dal, shukto, bhatki kalia and mangsho. all of them were below average. the beguni batter was sour, most definitely stale or spoilt. the bhetki was batter fried. the mangsho was salty. terrible experience with the food unfortunately. rhe restaurant itself had an uncontrollable amount of mosquitos. The AC and fans were at an uncomfortable setting. overall, extremely disappointed with the quality. probably that was the last visit to the place I've been visiting for almost a decade.

The rice was hard, the fish was nowhere close to being fresh. It felt too overpriced for below average, stale food. Nothing tasted freshly cooked.

I have been eating at The Calcutta Club for nearly a decade now, and I think the restaurant should either go through a renovation or shut down and turn into a cloud kitchen. Or maybe not even that. The food has become very average, but more importantly, the hygeine levels have dropped drastically and management does not care at all. We had COCKROACHES running around on our table (ON OUR TABLE), and the owner killed it ON THE TABLE while we were eating! But then, there was no apology, no admission of error. At a respectable restaurant, they would at least offer to waiver off the bill, but I definitely don't expect that here. But at least, one expects an apology. But no. She very happily tried to make small talk after that about what we did for work, if we worked in the fim industry, and (wait for it) if we could get her an acting job because she was getting bored managing the restaurant everyday. Not only were we too disgusted to stay in that restaurant any longer, we also couldn't help but be amazed at the apathy and lack of concern. Never coming here again. Never ordering either.

The food quality was shockingly poor and completely unacceptable for a place of such reputation. The fish roll served was clearly stale and excessively salty, making it inedible. The mutton dish was equally appalling the meat was so tough that it could not be eaten at all. It felt as though no basic quality checks were done before serving. The fish curry was perhaps the worst of all it had a sour, stale taste, strongly indicating that old or spoiled gravy was used. This is not just poor cooking; it raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. What makes this experience even more unacceptable is the exorbitant pricing. Charging premium rates for food of such substandard quality is unjustifiable and frankly insulting to customers. This visit was a complete waste of time and money. A reputed establishment like Calcutta Club should be ashamed of serving such food. Immediate corrective action is required both in terms of food quality control and kitchen standards or the establishment risks completely losing its credibility.
