Perhaps the best part about staying at President by IHCL is Konkan Cafe, well so far as I’m concerned. While I’ve ordered food from here in the room, this was the first time I stepped into the outlet to enjoy my meal, given that I had about an hour parked for dinner. Since I was a lone diner, I decided to order the Non-Veg Thali - an unlimited fixed meal. They started me off with fried papad and three chutneys, the garlic chutney being easily amongst the best things I have consumed on the chutney front, possibly ever. The main meal featured a piece of pan fried fish, raw papaya salad, raita, malwani chicken, fish curry, mutton curry, a dal based preparation and a vegetable dish. I opted to not have the last two items served. They also serve Rice, Malabar Parota, Appam and Neer Dosa with the meal. The fish curry, I believe Mean Moilee is what was served, was spectacular. Delicate, flavourful and really fresh. The mutton curry was a bit spicy, perfectly balanced. The chicken had a kick, delicious with the sweetish appams. The fish fry was purely wholesome, the right item to start the meal. Then came the dessert - Kulfi, Jalebi and Payasam. The Jalebi was super crisp and the right amount of sweet, the kulfi was delicious. I’m not a fan of Payasam in general so no comments there. The staff made the experience better in all honesty. Attentive, polite, and honestly better than most high-end restaurants. Now excited about my next visit and the delicious food that awaits.

I visited this restaurant for a dinner meeting and was blown away! Everything from the ambience to the cutlery, the hospitality, the food is spectacular. I've grown up eating Konkani-South Indian cuisine and so I was skeptical. Glad I gave it a shot. The one thing I appreciated was that the flavours were not toned down to suit international palates. This is my biggest gripe with these larger hotels but The Konkan Cafe ensured the food tasted amazing. Not spicy but the perfect amount of flavour. I have allergies and the staff members remembered them - they did not serve me any dish/accompaniment that had the ingredients I was allergic to. Even their beverages are delightful. The Aam Panna with a hint of ginger, thick Solkadhi, fresh sugarcane juice - we ended up draining every last drop. Definitely a place to visit if you want some authentic South Indian delicacies while in the area.

Visited after a gap of nearly 20 yeras but must say nothign has changed ... fantastic ambience - superb food - absolutely stunnign food i may say so - our group went in for the non veg and sea food thali - just sumptuous ! but the star of the shows were the super stars @ the restaurant itself - how they served us and treated us made the lunch an even better experience Rite from the time Mr ASif Shaikh took our reservation and welcomed us to all his collegues who served u - Kiran , Laximakant , Vivek , Amir , Chetain , Kaushik , deepak , prem , Shivani and Shradaha ( yes was so impressed took down their names !) hosted us in the most gracious manner possible - thank you guys - hope to see u again - this time more often !

An absolutely delightful experience! We tried the Non-Veg and Seafood Thali, every element was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The meal began with a comforting rasam, followed by a crisp papadum basket paired with vibrant chutneys. The soulful thali was a burst of authentic taste, and the desserts, jalebi rabdi and tender coconut payasam were the perfect sweet ending. Truly a satisfying and memorable dining experience!

Wonderful dining experience at Konkan Cafe. The food was delicious, especially the appam and Mappila biryani. Refreshing beverages like sugarcane juice and aam panna added to the experience. The paan ice cream was outstanding. Great service and a beautiful ambience made the evening perfect.

The ambience is quite good. we had ordered Prawns, Pomphret and Ravas. Prawns was good however Pomphret was not very fresh and disappointed us. Also, I beleive it was some other fish that was served instead of Ravas. Dint quite enjoy the food especially not matching the price standards. Soul Kadhi was awesome.

Ive been visiting this restaurant since i was a little kid. Last 2-3 years they have messed up! When ever ive visited in the last 2 years ive come out thinking of it as wasted money and time. Slow service, stinky fish, they serve malabar paratha like its a favour, condescending women staff and its an endless list. Today i was done with the shoddy behaviour and had to put this up for everyone to see whoever visits. Save your money and time

Service was pathetic and very slow. Went for a corporate event. The waiters were not even ready to look at me when I kept raising my hand time and again to ask about my food. Food was not that great.
