To start with Maharastrian home style is one of the best meal one can have and its not just misal pav, vada pav etc. Happened to notice this place had opened up. Went with no expectations but this was one of the best dinners i have had in a really long time. The Fish Thali was amazing. Fresh pomfret,sol kadi and the curry. Saoji chicken was yummy and masaledaar without being overly spicy. The bombil fry with the unique green chutney. It felt like home cooked fine dine. The service and recos were amazing. Add to it the owner also luckily had time to chat and explain a lot of things about maharashtrian cuisine. A must try and post that you will keep coming back to it. planning to again this week :)

Really had an unforgettable experience at The Maratha Kitchen, Khar. The warm ambiance and rustic decor instantly made us feel at home. The food stole the show Surmai thali, Mutton thali, and Chicken thali were superb, with top notch quality and freshness shining through in every bite, bursting with wonderful yum flavour. Fried prawns were a highlight, and flavoured ice creams were a delightful surprise. Service was attentive and friendly, staff went out of their way. Worth every penny for authentic flavours and generous portions. Highly recommend for a genuine taste of Maharashtra.

Delicious food. We started with the tambda rassa( a kind of a thin soup) which was absolutely delicious. In starters and mains the absolute must tries were mutton chops laal tikhat, pomfret agri masala. Chicken kolhapuri and pomfret steamed in banana leaves were good too. The staff was very helpful and gave really good suggestions.
