Went to Vig Refreshments on a Sunday for brunch and it was a delightful experience! Tried their chur chur naan, daal pakwaan, chole samosa, and aaloo patties—each dish was packed with authentic flavors and served fresh. The chur chur naan was perfectly crispy and paired wonderfully with the rich curries. Daal pakwaan had that nostalgic, home-style touch, and the chole samosa hit the right notes of spice and crunch. The aaloo patties were golden, crisp, and comforting. For drinks, I had lassi and chaas—both were refreshing and complemented the meal beautifully. Great spot for a traditional North Indian-style brunch. Definitely coming back for more!

If you're yearning for authentic Sindhi cuisine in Mumbai, this legendary 50-year-old spot is a must-visit in Chembur. Indulge in delightful dishes like dal pakaan, chole pattice pav, samosa chole, chole bhature, a variety of kulchas, rajma chawal, along with flavorful lassi and chaas. The seating might be modest, but the food is an absolute 10/10. Highly recommended for anyone in Chembur! 👌🏻🤤

VIG Hotel, Chembur – Popular Food Spot, But Slightly Overpriced VIG is a well-known name in Chembur for North Indian-style food, especially their chole — which are genuinely flavorful. I tried a few dishes: Chole Pattice – 4/5: Tasty and filling. Cheese Kulcha – 4.5/5: Rich, soft, and satisfying. Pani Lassi – Didn’t enjoy it much. Too watery for my taste, though some might like it light. Dal Pakwan – okish, especially for ₹120. Expected better flavor. Overall, the food is good, no doubt, but I personally felt it’s a bit overpriced for the portion and quality. Worth a visit if you’re nearby, but not something I’d go out of the way for.

The taste of the food was purely Punjabi and the place and kitchen too were clean. Tried cholle pattice, cheese-garlic-onion kulcha and aloo chur chur naan. I would recommend cheese-garlic-onion kulcha. Ask them to put more of their special masala which they put in their kulchas and naan, you can also buy it separately and it costs Rs 75 for 100 gms

One the loveliest place in Mumbai to eat North Indian food. Superb chole khulches and bhatures and dal pakwan. The huge glass of chass is a must must have.

Total letdown Is a place famous because it’s good or it’s good because it’s famous ? We finally made a 30km journey to the famed VIG and the effort was not rewarding We ordered Daal Panwan & Chhole Bhature. Daal: Small quantity aside, daal was bland. Taste was ordinary even with a dash of chutney. Pakwan: Crispy and met basic standards. Chhole: Same story as of daal. Tasteless and bland. One has had much better options at Gulatis’s or Gurukrupa. Heck, even home kitchens offer tastier Sindhi dishes. Ambience: Low key Hygiene: Non-existent. Verdict: if you are more than 1 km away from this place, do not take the efforts visiting.

A little courtesy from the service team and specially managers and management would take away your single penny. They are absolutely rude everytime as if doing favour to customers and wouldnt take any effort to help customer for parcel orders. With other better tasting places coming in Chembur, such attitude will not help anymore
