We wanted to take a break from our usual hang out spots and hence we visited this restaurant based on the recommendation of a friend. The feel of the restaurant will definitely appeal to someone who likes to keep things simple. They have an AC & Non AC section to choose from. We quickly placed our ordered and we received some good quality alcohol at an affordable price. In accompaniments we called for Peanut Masala, Roasted Papad and then a Boiled Chana Masala. They were perfectly made with a balanced hint of seasonings. Even the chutneys served with the Roasted Papad were great. After that we ordered a Veg Fried Rice and a Chicken Manchurian Fried Rice. The Veg fried Rice was prepared really well with very little amount of sauces, keeping the taste of Rice and Veggies intact. The Chicken Manchurian Fried Rice was made perfectly just as the veg variant. The Chicken Manchurian Gravy was fantastic. Balanced use of sauces kept the taste of the broth and chicken alive. It went really well with the Rice. Based on some reviews, we tried their Butter Chicken on our later visit. And I must say that it was one for the tastiest and creamiest one. I visited Vikram with two of my friends over the weekend and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of my life. We quickly went through the menu and ordered kingfisher mild beer and peanut masala to begin with. The beer was of excellent quality and the peanut masala was a tasty accompaniment. For appetizers, we ordered chilli chicken. It was delicious to the core. It was a perfect combination of sweet, salty and spicy. For mains, we ordered butter chicken and naan. We had read rave reviews about Vikram's butter chicken. So we felt it's a must-try. And I must say it was the best butter chicken I have ever had in my life. Infact I can bet my entire year's salary on its taste. Easily one of the best places to have butter chicken in Mumbai. We also ordered a chicken biryani. Although it wasn't authentic dum-style biryani, it was extremely tasty. The gravy that accompanied the biryani was also really good. The prices are also quite reasonable. However, I feel they need to work on their ambience. I understand the need to keep things simple. However, the lighting was pretty dim and needs to be improved. A bar that serves good food. A landmark of Nerul and famous for butter chicken. It's butter chicken is to die for. The best in the world that I have ever tasted. The experience of sitting there n having a beer with Mandeli fry is out of the world. Highly recommended is: Again, the butter chicken. I can bet my entire property on its taste.
