To visit a restaurant to eat chaat is not something very common among mumbaikars. Vitthal bhel which has history of about 100 years or more has been passed on through generation to generation. Started as a small thela , vitthal bhel is amongst the favourties chaat place in mumbai. The owners went big by shifting to a place . Situated at narrow lanes of mumbai , near to famous sterling theatre , vitthal bhel has created its own goodwill. It has even got licenses to have bar which is in the 1st floor of the building. The restaurant has added few other notable items to its already chat counter, which tastes good as well. In the bhel section one can try any item as all are good (except pani puri) You get to make ur own paani puri, but i dint think it was worth it. You get chutyney , shev and onion chopped and bhel in different plates and bowls. One can add the chutney as per their requirement. Also worth trying is the samosa and masala pav which tastes good. Pricing is on the higher side as compared to thelas. One may have to shell out around rs 150-200 per person on an average. The service is good and the ambience is decent

Beware next time while ordering Pitcher. We had very unethical experience, while we ordered pitcher. There was half filled jar already there in fridge, same was filled up with fresh beer. same was brought in notice of waiter, initially he refused but later he agreed that he has done this.

average place with high price Mangum for 700 and kf ultra for 530 plus i ordered cheese pakoda which were below average

We had bhel, pani puri and dahi batata puri. The pani puri was a disaster as the pani was like chilly water. The bhel had few ingredients. The prices are steep, looking at the quality.

Very disappointing behaviour. There is always an excuse not to deliver. This is the fifth time some excuse has been made. Will not order again from them! They deserve 0 rating!
