I recently visited Aaina in Mysore with my family and had a mixed experience overall. We started at the bar with a few beers and a mocktail before heading to our table. Initially, the ambience inside felt a bit gloomy and the AC was not working, but after guests pointed it out, the staff resolved the issue within about five minutes. Food-wise, the restaurant really impressed us. We ordered several starters including butter garlic prawns, tandoori chicken, chicken wings, sushi, and tempura prawns, and most of them were delicious. The desserts were also great — the tres leches, tiramisu, and the vanilla and milk chocolate ice cream were enjoyable and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, the food quality was good and I would rate it 4/5. However, there were a couple of misses. The Tamil Podi Peanut dish was extremely dry and not enjoyable at all — I would definitely not recommend that item. Unfortunately, what really ruined our experience was the service from our waiter, Ayush Majumder. At the beginning, he seemed helpful while taking our order, but things quickly went downhill. Throughout the evening he repeatedly tried to push additional dishes in a very aggressive sales-pitch manner, even when we clearly mentioned our preferences and dietary concerns — especially since we had an elderly family member who could not eat spicy food. Despite explaining this multiple times, he continued suggesting the same items that we had already declined. The most disappointing moment happened toward the end of our meal. While we were already finishing our desserts, he suddenly tried to push a starter order for calamari which should have come during our course of meal, which made no sense at that stage when we finished our desserts and asking for the cheque. When we questioned this and raised the concern with him the response we received was blunt and unprofessional. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the interaction escalated to a point where Ayush made inappropriate and insulting remarks to us. This was extremely uncomfortable and disrespectful, especially since we were dining with our entire family. What made the situation worse was that there was no apology from the waiter afterward. The whole experience left our family feeling insulted and disappointed. It’s unfortunate because the food at Aaina is genuinely good, and we initially liked the atmosphere enough to consider coming back for dinner again. But the poor customer service and the way this incident was handled completely changed our perception. Because of this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this place to others or visiting again with my family. Good food alone cannot make up for disrespectful service and an unpleasant dining experience.

90 % of the items that we wanted to try was not available.... and the food was okay okay... first we went to gazo... the tables were very dirty... and we had to choose from few options that was available

Food used to be really good when they were new. Now it's pathetic. New kitchen staff, apparently. Every single item we ordered was bad. Not visiting again. Ruined our evening.
