Came highly recommended from an old friend. Had been there during Lunch hours. Was highly crowded & there's no token system or waiting unlike other restaurants. Ordered a South Indian Thali & Bisi bele bhath. South Indian Thali was nothing special. Bisi bele bhath was superb with Khara boondi atop it. Seating is bad. Prepare to have 4-5 people looking over your shoulder as they're waiting for you to finish your meal & vacate your seat. Restaurant needs to have a separate area/seating arrangement for those waiting.

This place is without a doubt one of the best Vegetarian restaurants in the city. We tried their South Indian meals and vadas, yum! So fresh, so filling and so many options on the menu as well. It's neat and clean, buzzing with people on Sundays for sure, there is parking on the road, it's not always available though. Each thali was Rs. 95 only, absolute value for money. Food - 4/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience - 4/5 Value for money - 5/5

Had been to this place thrice when I was in Mysore for vacations. This place serves some good South Indian food. I have had South Indian meals which is the go to thaali for lunch. Sambar and rasam were tasty. The food is freshly prepared and served. Indoor and outdoor seating available, clean place, staffs and service is good. I recommend this place.

A must visit for any Mysorian or a tourist as well. Everything tastes best but have to wait for the seat. Filled with people and family. No doubt it's the best. No special mention for me. Everything tasted best.

Comfort vegetarian meals, and very easy on the pocket. Mahesh Prasad is a lunch favourite without a doubt - they also offer a simple North Indian meal and some thindi dishes like bonda soup, and bisibele bath.

One of the oldest hotel. Old house converted to restaurant. Famous for typical south Indian dishes and especially bonda soup. I tried butter masala dosa, dahi puri and tea. Tastewise it's not bad but nothing great. Service is also good.

We went for meals and saw the worst face of humanity. We walked into Mahesh Prasad, Mysore with one simple request - we will order 3 full meals, and can my father, who is on a strict chemo diet, sip his own Ganji in his own cup, while we ate. That's it. Nothing free. Nothing extra. When my mother requested again, the man at the cash counter looked at a chemotherapy patient and said - "I am allowing him to sit here. You should be thankful." We walked out shocked. In every single hotel we have ever visited, people have been accommodating. It is as simple and normal as allowing a new mother to feed cerelac to her baby while she eats. Everyone, everywhere, has shown basic humanity. Except here. My father ate at this hotel for decades when he worked in Mysore. He took us there today saying the food is good. He came back old, unwell, hungry, and was treated like an inconvenience. The food may be good. People will still go. But that man's arrogance tells you everything about who runs this place and what they think of you the moment you are vulnerable. We walked out and went to another restaurant nearby - they treated our request with such humility and went out of their way to make my father comfortable. That is how human beings treat each other.

One of the worst service. Cashier is having attitude issue and not enabling services even seats are empty and people made waiting and left to near by restaurant.
