COCKROACH !!!! How would you feel when you get a cockroach onto your menu. Yes that's right, all taste, fondness of Bengali food will melt away when my wife found that. And that too, when we took our 3yr old kid with us for dining. Usually we keep ignoring the basic hygiene and keep taste and Bengali food above everything else, but trust me an awkward moment like this that too in a place like gurugram is something bothering me now. I would recommend everyone to be extremely mindful before visiting this place

This quaint little place, located in Baani Square (takeaway outlet in Qutb Plaza) is a great find for those who relish Bengali cuisine. The fish chops and the Mutton Kosha Mangsho with Luchi was fantastic! Mutton Biryani was not particularly to our taste. Mutton in all the dishes were cooked really well. The quantity and quality are apt and prices are reasonable. The staff needs to trained a little more and the service needs to become faster. However, since they opened their dine-in outlet just over a month back, they seem to be in the right track. The owner personally looks after the guests and is involved in the operations. Looking forward to future visits.

With an expectation of having authentic Bengali food in Gurgaon, I visited this restaurant in July. Firstly, the dining space is pretty crammed and as I entered, I saw two guests leaving the restaurant citing hygiene issues. Yes, there were flies flying around and the receptionist had no clue about it. Secondly, this was a self service restaurant which I didn't know. Even you have to ask 2-3 times for wet wipes to wash your hands or mouth. Now coming to food. I ordered katla mach bhaja, rice, alu posto, bhetki paturi and Mutton curry with alu. Last two has been suggested by the receptionist as their best dishes. 1. Katla mach bhaja: Pretty decent. Since I prefer mach bhaja to be deep fried, it suited my taste buds. Sadly, this was the only decent dish served there. 2. Alu posto: Looks good, but lacks taste. Quite a disappointment I thought, but I was in for more. 3. Bhetki paturi: One of the worst I have eaten. Huge in size, good enough quantity for 2 persons. But the smell and taste hardly resembled that of an authentic paturi. Moreover, it seemed half cooked. 4. Mutton curry with alu: THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT. The receptionist took my order but provided me with Mutton Kosha. As I told him, they just added water to the gravy and made it mutton curry. Poorly cooked mutton and a semi cooked, semi fried alu to make the matters worse. As an ardent lover of mutton curry, this is the worst I have eaten. Lastly I didn't dare to order any sweet dishes. I would suggest that you should cook in your home/friend's home or go to any place for bengali food rather than visiting this place.

In love with the food. Must try - Mutton Kosha with Luchi. One of The best mutton I’ve ever had. Authentic Bengali ! Met the owner, and loved how passionate he is about the food. It’s a small dining, but I recommend eating fresh, hot food served there. Can’t wait to try more dishes !

We went there for dining. Though it’s a two table sitting area but the service and food compensated it well enough. What we ordered: 1. Chicken cutlet 2. Chicken curry meal 3. Mutton kosha dry fruits pulao meal All of them were very well made. Best parts: I was so thankful that they gave authentic kosha unlike the curry version many other restaurants serve Bengali ghee in their dal Service. Enjoyed talking with Sujoy

We really loved the food. Specially the Mutton kosha. The staff is good, so is the service. The place is really small though. Only two tables. Guess they mostly work on deliveries. But will definitely go for the food again.

Well, starting with the accommodation, it is really small to dine in but you will get a homely feeling throughout your visit. But the owner still managed to give a makeover by creating a comfortable space with Jamini Roy art all over the walls and slow bangla gaan which will definitely make you feel alive by giving proper kolkata vibes. Coming to the food, it's delicious. Everything from starter and main course to dessert, scrumptious. Definitely you will crave more. Bhetki Paturi is a must try dish. Whatever desserts were available had my heart when I visited. And last but not the least, the free mitha paan is an overall add on to the bhuri bhoj. Would recommend everyone to visit once. Don't judge the outlet by it's space. You will definitely regret otherwise.

Ordered a vegetarian meal and was very satisfied with the taste. All the dishes were fresh and aromatic, light and tasty. My personal favourite is the chana dalna ( paneer dumplings in a thick gravy) and aloo dum with luchi. (Cholar Dal) Chana dal with coconut was well balanced with flavours. Aloo chorchori ( light potato sabzi) was a great accompaniment. Payesh ( rice Kheer) gets 3/5 from me. Highlight was the Basanti Pulao ( rice flavoured with aromatic spices and dry fruits and ghee). Just right to close a meal with the subtle burst of flavours. I missed the chutney though which could be a great accompaniment overall. I would highly recommend Abar Khabo, a very good option to enjoy with friends and family. Cost effective as well. Overall my rating is 4/5.

Small cosy place and the food was awesome. Truly authentic Bengali dishes we had in delhi. We had chicken roll, mughlai Paratha, mishti doi and fish kobiraji. Everything was awesome 😎
