Adyar Ananda bhavan (or A2B as we like to call it) brought back memories of my stay in Chennai. This place was my regular breakfast spot especially for their tiffin ❤️. Recently visited their Janpath outlet and to my surprise there was a waiting line just to get in. Food however didn’t disappoint at all. Same old authentic taste with simple flavours. Highly recommend for breakfast and brunches. Cost for two : 500-700 Rs Usual waiting during dinner : 15 mins. Must try south indian tiffin, rasam appalam, mysore masala dosa and South Indian meals 🔥.

Nostalgia as I used to frequent this place during my travels to Chennai Coimbatore vellore.. the familiar logo will keep welcoming in the streets and on the highway as well. We ordered Vada, Podi Dosa and Mushroom. All three things better than the other .. I am definitely coming back and would strongly recommend !!

Had a very good experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and not unnecessarily spicy. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Overall a lovely place.

Went to this famous chain of South Indian Restaurants with branches Internationally for Supper. The timing was half an hour before closing but was still crowded. The ambience was of a regular decent restaurant with South Indian embellishments and an in-store sweet store. The table was not clean and area around also had to be cleaned prior seating. The bathroom had good fittings but leaking soap dispenser. Could see that no ongoing cleaning of the restaurant floors was also being undertaken with every table being vacated. The order was taken then reconfirmed again after a while. The food was still not forthcoming even after 30 min plus so much for South Indian Fast Food. The corn soup came. Insipid hot water with few corn kernels and cabbage strings. we waited another 10 min to get a soup spoon by that the time soup went cold. Dahi vada was ok. Mushroom curry leaf fry was served. Plates then came followed by cutlery. This dish was tasty. Finally the dosas came in batches, Ghee roast with hardly any ghee, Onion rava without onion and raw . On complaining manager was kind enough not to charge us for the rava dosa. Coffee was good but have tasted better. The expectation was high but experience poor. Maybe the timing. Would request the management not to prioritize profit over quality and hygiene. It will affect your customer base. For a foodie like me, will not venture there again.

Sharing my honest feedback. Food quality is average, but can be improved. However, service is absolutely poor. As soon as we entered, no one greeted or showed us to our table, we ourselfs sat on one of the empty tables, which was not even clean. there were multiple instances where we called out to the service team, also had to shout to call them but they blatantly ignored. They also messed up our very simple order of a Fresh Lime Soda. Upon sharing this feedback to the assistant manager we had to leave extremely disappointed. I would personally not recommend anyone to dine at this restaurant.
